    40g Beef Jerky $4.40 200g Beef Jerky $22.50

Why would anyone buy 200g when they could buy 5x 40g and pay 50c less?

    200g should be cheaper.

    • Thanks for pointing that out Scab! We have just updated the price to $21.50

      • Code is not working for me. Tried it on a mixed cart of 6x40g packets and also on a single original 40g packet. Im not ordering unless I can try a mix. Does the $21.50 price only apply to original flavour 200g packets?

        • Hi 02Keilj sorry try again

        • No the $21.50 price is on all 200g packets

  • hate to be a stick in the mud,
but it works out 100$ a KG, so where's the deal?

jerky is around 60-80$ per kg

    • Hi Millusions
If you look on our website you can see our kg price. although it is not on sale

      Cheers

      • so it's 100$ per kg instead of 200$ per kg,
        where is the deal?

its a kg of meat btw

        • -1

Re 'its a kg of meat btw'…

It seems that you may be unaware millsa', that to create a kg of jerky you need to start with well over 2 kg of meat. more like 3 or 4 kg, depending on various factors. Re the comments below relating to the Aldi product, that stuff is not really 'jerky' in the traditional sense. It's more of a 'dried soft preserved meat' type product the likes of which you can also get at Costco etc., for about $30 or $40 a kilo… but it is not actually really anything like real jerky.

ALL THAT SAID, I don't think there is any sort of 'bargain' here, because there's plenty of great actual jerky around that can be bought for $100/kg or less, and that is its normal price. Some of the best (real) jerky I ever had was very kindly sent to me for FREE by a mob who ran a promotion on this site a year (or maybe 2?) or so ago… Unfortunately I forget the name of that mob, but their jerky was REALLY GOOD (I like hot/spicy jerky, and what they sent me was the hottest I'd ever tasted). I seem to recall theirs was under $100/kg, and that was their normal price.

        • its a kg of meat btw

More like 4KG of meat, meat is 75% water and then there's the cost of making it.

  • Aldi's jerky is $2.99/50g and is quite good - this is nearly double the price/kg and need to pay for shipping…

      Thanks for your comment Brouw3r

Our jerky is not comparable to Aldi product. But thankyou for your opinion

      cheers,

      • 'Our jerky is not comparable to Aldi product.'

Completely true, assuming that you guys sell proper, hard/dry jerky. That Aldi stuff tastes nice enough, but in the traditional sense of the word I would not even call it jerky. It's soft/wet, not dry/chewy.

        • yea. thanks for the lecture.

whatever this guy says - he knows everything!

        • @millusions:

          '… he knows everything!'

At least we agree on that, Mr Illusion.

  • Do you sell Turkey Jerky?

  • Anyone tried this stuff? Is it worth the premium pricing? ($110/kg for the 40g bags plus shipping) which is normally $200/kg

    • Yes for me, this is the closest thing to being anywhere close to geronimo level and I've tried like 5 others including biltong etc.

The flavoring is similar but the meat is also thicker than geronimo 's thin cuts, pricing is similar to it too when it's on sale, and I've just bought 30 bags no bs because of how satisfied I was with the previous purchase.

Man I've ran out of this for a month and have been missing my midnight snacks that were meaty but not filling/oily kind of thing, this fits the bill.

What it's worth is dependent on the person though, buy for pleasure or buy for value.
The 40g bags are resealable too, my fave is extra chili, my parents liked smoley BBQ, and I've just bought 3 bags of original to try out.

      • Hi Zeral,

Did Geronimo Jerky go bust? I can't get them to answer the phone or e-mail to order more jerky!

  • +1

I haven't tried Swagman Jerky yet, but have tried the standard Aldi jerky and found it to be quite ordinary. It seemed to be too soft and just a little bland.

  • I will stick to buying wagyu steak with high marble score for less price than your jerky!
P.S Aldi only sells jerky, because people that cant cook meat and are married to there cousin:) Oh im joking:)
