Need advice for cheap phone for Pokemon Go

Hi, can anyone recommend me a cheap mobile phone that can run pokemon go well? I need to get 2 so on a rather tight budget.

its for replacing my old nexus 5 - my kids broke them.

doesn't need fancy features for cameras/etc expected of a smart phone, just really for pokemon go.

both phones will tether to my wireless hotspot phone/device.

budget (hopefully) under $350-400 for 2 phones… and i need models that can be confirmed to run pokemon go ….

My daughter has got a Xiaomi Redmi 3S with 720x1280 screen, Qualcomm SD430 CPU and 3GB RAM, and it runs Pokemon Go fine. A Redmi 4X with 3GB RAM would be around USD$130 without looking around for coupons.

If it's just for Pokemon Go, get some second-hand xperia z2's, and don't root them.

bought 2 xiaomi 4s phones from the same retailer in china… one worked with pokemon the other didn't… apparently one was rooted and the other not.
