Help - I need the code to prompt the unlock screen to come up - ZTE Blade A110 (Optus Zap)

Hello all,

bought a ZTE Blade A110 and now trying to unlock it for a friend. Have the unlock code but when I put in a non-Optus sim no unlock screen comes up. Have tried Vodafone, Kogan, and Lebara (so, all Vodafone).

Does anybody know which # code I need to put in the phone keypad to prompt the unlock screen to come up?

    It should come up for a non - Optus sim.

    Have you tried contacting Optus?

    try entering *983*8284# or *983*865625# or ###825*09# WITHOUT a sim card
