[HELP] Optus Family and Friends S8+ deals

Long story, but I think Optus put me on a different plan that I had asked for and as a result I went over my data allowance.

I signed up for the family and friends discount offer for the S8+ in June 2017. The offer I applied for was the $95 (which reduced to $71.25 with 25% discount) and I can't remember the data allowance that this plan offered. I remember it being 12/15gbs.

Additionally, they charged me the full rate in the first month and not the discounted $71.25

Has anyone else signed up for this plan and had any issues?

    Discount is from second month - T&C.

    • Can you remember the terms of the $95 contract? More specifically the data allowance?

  • There is no $95 plan off the top of my head, it would be say the $65 plan with a handset fee of $25 or the $85 plan with a $10 handset repayment. the $65 plan is 3.5gb data as a base and the $85 plan is about 5gb of data as a base.

    • As far as I can remember that $65 plan comes with 7gb at that time. let me know if I am wrong.

      • It was the Samsung Galaxy S8 deal with the 25% off. I have spoken to Optus and they're in the process of fixing this.

        • No, not sorted yet. Horrible customer service experience so far.
