40 inch TV for around $500-$700. Any deals?

Hey ya!

Just looking for a reasonable tv around 40 inches that's around $500-$700.

Bought a Samsung 40 inch TV from Myer on their Super Saturday deal today for $699.20 ($719.20 + used Myer CCSELL20 code for $20 off $100 Min Spend). Was super excited about my Super Saturday deal and now am just super let down after receiving an email saying its not in stock and they're refunding my money. So now Ive got to find another super deal on a TV.

Was hoping to get a reasonable brand of TV, say Samsung or Panasonic, but would consider other options.

Any deals anyone can think of?

    Oh really? It's a Samsung though, so it's a good brand. I don't know a lot about TV's, more than I did though, but definitely no expert. Will keep an eye out for any amazing sales though on OzBargain etc and hopefully will find something decent. Thanks so much for your response too. Only response sadly (insert crickets sound here).

  Hisense make some decent TVs these days and are reviewed quite well compared to their bigger brand name competitors

  JB Hi-Fi TV for $650 for 43" and it's a smart TV which may or may not be a perk.

  Personally I wouldn't buy a FHD TV at all these days or honestly one that small. Perks of going 4K is that you can sit much closer without noticing the pixels. That said I don't know how big your place is. To give you an idea my place the room is 3.7m wide and I have a 55" 4K TV with plans to upgrade to a 65" or larger one day…..

  With that in mind you could get something like a Kogan 55" 4K TV which will be much bigger, much higher resolution
