Farpoint with Aim Controller Bundle PlayStation VR PS4 $151.16 Delivered @ The Gamesmen eBay

35
COZZIE

Hi,

For those who are involved in the PS VR gaming and community, you would be aware that the Farpoint with the light gun normally goes for over 250 dollars because of demand. Not to mention this game truly represents what PSVR is capable off.

Now you can get it for 167.95 delivered.

I bought it when it was first released for 119 from eb games but for 167 its a bargain compared to scalpers selling it for over 250 dollars

Edit - this is 10 dollars cheaper from Gamesmen website directly - https://www.gamesmen.com.au/farpoint-with-aim-controller-bun…

Enjoy.

Above current RRP. No deal here mate. Gamesman have lost respect for this scalping attempt.

especially when eb is still selling them at RRP for $129

while i agree with you, eb dont have any stock in stores… if you follow the /r/psvr you will find nobody can find any…

Gamesmen have sold 46 so far and I think this is a reflection of how much people want it.

      • +6

Just because it’s available doesn’t make it a deal…..in fact, far from it!

      • +3

no reason to pay above RRP it just encourages scalping.

I run a very large game group on facebook, these are still being spotted in the wild a few eb's have them left in store so do a few targets, you just have to be lucky enough to be near them.

As for paying $30-100 more for a scalper, GTFO.

      • Two months ago they were selling it for $145.95 on eBay, same listing (click the number sold). Still above RRP, still a shitty move for a retailer with the purchasing power to buy them in bulk (as opposed to a typical Broden) and sell them at scalper prices.

Edit: It looks like they're selling it for retail on their website, roughly $141 delivered to Brisbane. Wonder why it's more expensive on eBay?

    • EB doesn't have much stock nationally, but I agree - it's a scummy move for a retailer to sell above RRP due to stock shortages.

Y'all acting as though the RRP is something other than a number that is presented to consumers in order to manipulate their purchasing decision by making the price they pay seem more like a bargain.

It has nothing to do with the value of the product itself.

        • +3

The price is meant to be below the RRP, not above. Especially for it to be considered a bargain.

  • +2

Scalpers with a brand to protect are worse, and more stupid IMO. Over RRP is over RRP. Next we'll be listing up someone selling the SNES mini on eBay for $350 because everyone else is selling them for $400 on there.

I asked staff at EB if they were stocking them about a month ago, they're not stocking them in store but they have heaps at their warehouse according to him.

Can anyone find one for cheaper??? If not then it's a deal.

    • -3

      Thank you. My point.

    • +2

It's cheaper on their own website lol, $140 Delivered. I found it in 2 seconds with a quick google search.

      • I have updated the link.

        Thanks for this.

    • Can anyone find one for cheaper??? If not then it's a deal.

Just because it is (apparently) the lowest price available doesn't make it a deal. Otherwise $900 t-shirts, etc, could be posted ad nauseam when they are $20 off.

IMO the site is for good deals, meaning good value for money.

      • No dude. Ozbargain, not ozitsslightlybetterthanscalping.

Just because value is perceived by some people as being more, to me this game isnt a bargain until it his under $100 with the gun, a lot of others here are the same.

Keep trying to sell us that its a bargain and RRP is just a number?

We start posting stuff here based on scalpers charging more so its a deal….. this is not what ozbargain is about, you don't like that leave.

Here is the thing everyone who downvoted this and posted negative comments.

I have posted this bargain for those who dont have this deal and want it. I already have this. And I am sharing it with you.

Post me links here where you can get this deal cheaper then 151 delivered? Ill wait.

  • I've been trying to get this pack, but I ain't paying more than the rrp. What's the deal with the shortages anyway?

    • -1

They didn't anticipate the demand they received and did not make many. (they only made 150k initially) But now they are popping up for sale again.

I suggest buying it from gamesmen directly before it sells out again.

      Cheers.

Scalpers on eBay I can accept, but a retailer gouging reflects poorly indeed. I will not buy from such an outfit, now or ever.

      • +2

I dont suggest this. Vote with your wallet and tell them it's not on.

We've always been for supporting the little guy here, but gamesmen have done a massive dick move here.

A mod should delete this deal and people should let gamesmen know that we expect better from them.

  • Based of some of the logic here I should start posting when limited run do a release because every game goes quick there and then goes on ebay for 4x the RRP.

Then I should do a post for cash converters for buying up a bunch of copies and doing a bunch of fake ebay sales at inflated prices then listing the copies they purchased for $20 under the fake listings.

i'm joining the chorus of negs, retailer selling local stock at higher than rrp is BS…

    • +1

Just went to jb, it's $129.00 there

      • ok final update from me, during my weekend shopping went to jb chaddie and southland, both had plenty of stock, like the move controllers, I think the shortage is over.

The southland jb guy said 10 arrived this week, I ended up buying one for $129, the reviews were ok enough for me to give the psvr one more chance…

        • They don't have it on the website, is it sold out already? Should I go into the store to ask??

Edit: EB has it on the web now, stock available

        • @muzzakus:

Another update: walked into local JB, walked out with Farpoint bundle at rrp. They had 2 in stock so not an over abundance, but seems stock is being replenished now no wakkas.
