When I bought an Air 2 late last year I found that Officeworks had the best deal. However, I had some JB vouchers, so I asked if they would price match ($717 down to $619). They did.
That gives me hope that a $100 discount is possible. I'll check out JB, Officework and Harvey Norman to see what I can get.
I want to get a SIM version and Officeworks doesn't sell those. Might think of getting it from the Apple store as I can return it within 14 days if I don't like it. I have a delimma at the moment, the battery on my Apple Mini 4 is beginning to die and I need to either replace the battery for $139 or put the money to something like the 10.5 Pro. I keep vacillating as I'm not sure if they are going to release a Mini 5 sometime soon.
There won't be a new Mini at least till next year if at all, only thing announced lately is a revised iPod touch and RIP for nano and shuffle line.

You can get ~$30 off as an "Education Discount" from the Apple Store. The main discounts at retail stores are usually for old models. Otherwise it's ~$10 off at Officeworks?
