I am with TPG on $60 ADSL2+ unlimited internet and home phone plan. I am not very happy with the speed so looking for an alternative.
I see Optus is offering 500GB on cable for the same price? How is Optus as compared to TPG or is there any better deal available?
My mobile contract is also with Optus so I think it will get additional 10% discount.

What does TPG have to say about it? Is it just peak congestion, low sync speed or something else? Was it always slow or has it degraded recently?

Optus cable can have major issues in some suburbs … they're basically letting their network go to shit, because of NBN. Check with a neighbour, before you sign up.

You should look again. Optus is offering $60 unlimited internet on cable (or ADSL or NBN) + including home line rental. You can add call packs on this if you must. $5/m for unlimited land line calls and $5/m for unlimited mobiles.
