I coughed and sneezed so badly, so I went to Priceline Pharmacy at Central station after work. There was no customer except me, the pharmacist was chatting with his colleague. Without finishing my talk, he recommended me the Hayfever medicine. I asked him does it help with my sore throat as well, he pointed to the shelf and said 'get some lozenges from there'.
When I went home and read through the medicine and did some research online, I was a bit confused, as I feel like it was more like a cold and flu rather than Hayfever.
It was a one tablet last for 24 hours type, I took one anyway because I need to work on the next day. I dropped an inquiry on the Priceline website to double check, left my email for contact only. The CS from Priceline sent the info to the Pharmacist at Central, and the Pharmacist CALLED ME DIRECTLY. (He left a voice msg to explain he was sure it was a hayfever.)
I didn't leave my mobile number, I don't know if the CS or pharmacist looked up for my mobile number from their database as I had the Priceline sister club membership.
I don' know if this is okay for you, but I think this is disrespectful when the CS shared my personal contact number to a store.
Is this really okay to do this in Australia? what about the Privacy law?
Thank you.
PS: I went to Chemist Warehouse today, the pharmacist suggested coughing liquid and day&night Codral.
I thought that was good service when the pharmacist was able to look up your number and call you.
