    Holy Crap!

Am I allowed to say that?!

That's the fastest ordering yet, thanks OzBargainers! I nearly choked on my coffee.

    • We've got at least half left, so go for it peeps
    • Free shipping, free tracking, to any Australian address

Remember if you order before 2pm, your order ships today!

    • +8

At least half. You have 6 left in stock. How many were available in total at the start of this deal?

      • Hi cwongtech :) actually that's the limit of how many you can buy (limit of 6 per order) but at this price, the code won't let you order more than 2. It always amazes me when people buy 2 of the same thing, but they must like it if they do, and that's a good thing, yes?

  • +13

Wow they must be flying out the door if you nearly choked on your coffee.

May I suggest you switch your beverage to truth serum?

    • -1

It's an old reference to Neville Wran…

  • +1

    This or the T-005RX?

    • Aha…hello again Yellow Knight, how's the last Sirui deal you bought from us?

      • Yo. Still didn't answer my question.

        • +2

I was actually editing it just then to answer, but you'd re-replied! To answer your question, we're not getting that one in, this one is more popular. You can see the specs for both and compare them using the SIRUI Europe link above. Or the PDF on many of our Sirui items has a comparison chart too.

        • +5

I plus your comment sir but no evidence to show that this is the more popular one. You sir are one helluva salesman though.

        • @YellowKnight: Haha, yes I guess that's true. All anecdotal I guess. But I think you'll really like this one, it's just so light and portable, especially if you've got a backpack, and you want the thing to not hang out the sides. I know so many people who made the mistake of getting "one bigger", just because they're conditioned to thinking that bigger is better. Not always. I love super-compact stuff, and this is a prime example of the amount of times you'll say "yes" to taking it, as opposed to rethinking it. This is so tiny you can take it anywhere. I'm sold on that basis alone, before even considering the rather remarkable build quality.

      • Yo. Still didn't answer my question.

        :)

  • +2

I am calling BS. Neging the deal because (1) it is not half amazon price. Amazon sale price is $200 odd; (2) Looks like very limited stock; (3) significantly cheaper but equaly effective options exist e.g manfrotto lightweight tripods are about $100 on sale and those are great.

    • +8
      • EDIT: Link now corrected, but price was right. Were you looking in US$ and without freight Australia?

Hi Hoobi, (1) Sorry this is partially my fault. URL was the wrong item! Just changed it, and you'll see the link is now corrected, and the price always was exactly right, so negging on that basis isn't valid according to the OzBargain rules. You'll need to dig deep to find they charge US$20 freight per pound to "Asia" (includes Australia). (2) OzBargain requires minimum 10 units. We exceeded that, so negging on that basis isn't valid either. (3) We didn't advertise another branded product which may or may not be even comparable, let alone as good. the deal is for Sirui T-1004X, I'd be surprised if OzBargain advocates that you can neg a deal 'because you don't like the deal', or 'because you like another product better'. But I could be wrong. Anyway, I hope you'll revisit the neg on the basis of the above.

And in any case, no hard feelings mate…we're open to opinions on here, all the time. Just maybe limit your negs to negative things, not misunderstandings or correctable typos etc!

      What does everybody else think?

      • +2

        True.

      • +3

        Good reply mate.

      • Rather than citing a technicality why not be a bit more upfront? Why not just say how much stock you have? Why not just list the amazon sale price and shipping separately? I think you were delibrately making the amazon price appear inflated to make your price look like a bargin. That is misleading.

This is ozbargin. Most if us can seperate the fact from fiction.

Btw the reason for listing the selling price seperately is because the shipping is dependent on the seller. Shipping is often much much lower if amazon itself is selling.

        • +5

          Please let's stay polite, OK?

But we did list it separately:

          Amazon $445(amazon.com) ($296.83 + $148.18 5 day shipping)

If you could please explain how that is misleading? You see, and I know you may have skipped it and not read everything, and that's OK - as long as you don't blame me for it :) But if you look carefully, directly preceding the total price is written:

Comparative pricing including shipping, in $AU,
          and then
The lowest prices at time of writing ( July 26, 2017) converted by google (where applicable) to $AU

So the total is more accurate, because it is the price you would have to pay, if you live in Australia, and they have to send it to you for the freight price agreed to on Amazon.

Statistics show that one of the biggest reason people abandon shopping carts is if the seller is not upfront about shipping costs.

          Here's what happened here:

          (1) We were so upfront, that the total price was up front. Literally.
          (2) We are interested in providing better value to our Australian buyers by giving free tracked shipping (and fairly obviously, it is not free for us)
          (3) Within 30 minutes, warehouse expects to have shipped all orders placed before 2pm, as promised
          (4) We temporarily went out of stock, but have now allocated more stock to this discount code, so more buyers can get the deal

I think that is far better than reasonable, and I hope that helps to clarify. Am I being fair?

    • So i did a quick search for a manfrotto that matches similar specs to the Sirui.

Closes thing i could get was the Manfrotto 190 Go! https://www.manfrotto.us/190-go-aluminium-4-section-camera-t…

      Weight - Man 1670g vs sirui 1200g
max height - Man 146cm vs sirui 140cm
Closed length - man 45cm vs sirui 41.5cm
max payload - man 7g vs sirui 10kg

Manfrotto 190 go is $200USD without shipping at bhphoto.

…. So looks like you are wrong on point 3. Unless you need those extra 6cm.

      • Hi Phocus (cool username!)

OK I checked what you've said, and the numbers show otherwise when you add it all up and match like for like. They'll match our service time for a similar product, for

        in $AU:

        $315.59 ($251.91 + $63.68 freight by Fedex with back-to-USA warranty) ^
        $381.97 ($251.91 + $130.06 freight by UPS with back-to-USA warranty) ^
$199.00 for this deal + free tracked freight by Australia Post + 6 years Official Sirui Australian warranty

It looks like, using B&H's own metrics, and your example, that we're up to nearly half the price, but at least 37% lower, with the advantage of the 6 year Aussie warranty.

^ that's if buyers are willing to accept:

        • A delivery window twice as long as ours
        • No Australian warranty, which for this item is 6 years, done in Sydney, not overseas

So looks like I am right on point 3, and you get those extra 6 cm :)

        • +1

My reply is to Hoobi's point 3 "(3) significantly cheaper but equaly effective options exist e.g manfrotto lightweight tripods are about $100 on sale and those are great."

And i was saying that the closest manfrotto equivalent is the 190Go. Even then its more expensive and the specs are all worse except for max height.

        • +1

@phocus: Haha, my bad! Just goes to show what happens when we get 'a bit too focussed' eh? Well, glad you agree :) This is a cool deal and ships fast too, perfect if you want a light, strong tripod for the weekend.

  • +3

The item listed on amazon has been 99 USD before

    https://camelcamelcamel.com/Pro-Tripod-T-1004x-Aluminium-mag…

    • Wow, love me some camel. I wonder how much the shipping was to Australia, or if it was even allowed to be sold internationally. In my experience, when something is so far under cost that it's unbelievable, then it's prudent to look to see if they've jacked up the freight, and things like that. All obvious things to the seasoned OzBargainer of course :)

      • +1

PS - the camel reference was to camcelcamelcamel, not to people who have a proclivity towards or against camels!

For those new to price-hunting as a sport, camcelcamelcamel is a very clever site effectively mapping much of Amazon price history, which is also an affiliate to Amazon, whereby they earn a commission if you click and/or buy. It is known and loved the world over. Bookmark it

  • Any benefits of an aluminium tripod over a CF one? Like this?
    https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Hot-Q-666C-Pro-Portable-Carb…

    • Good question actually. Carbon Fibre is often a bigger seller for us, in general, but mainly matters on bigger ones, where the weight difference may be more pronounced. What stood out about your question was when you said: "An aluminium tripod" which begs the obvious question: are they all the same? Put simply, they are not. Google Sirui and see why buyers all over the world love the brand, It's because they use superior technology to create amazing product quality, at a very reasonable price. We can sell items that are 90% cheaper. But that's all they are. A bargain, imho is a good product for a good price, not a good price alone. Hope that helps someone!

    • +1

That is a very solid tripod and my brother has one, I have Sirui t-005 myself and it is compact and lightweight but doesn't compare with the one you listed.

      • Hi nadan :) thanks for your comment. Good to hear from people who actually own a Sirui product, because it's only once you've tried one that you can forget about the endless opinions, because there's nothing as powerful as proving things to yourself. Cheers!

      • Fwiw I bought the one I listed. It's traveled the world with me and has been rock solid. Holds my 6D and 70-200 f2.8 with no issues. Seems to have a higher load capacity for the same weight.

  • Can you confirm if there will be a tripod head? The picture of it folded down has a head.
I guess that it doesnt but you should make it clear.

    • Good point. they always come without a head, unless it is a Kit.

The best one to go with this is probably the K-10X, which is very light, yet super-strong.

    • +1

      No head included.

The T-04X and T-05X series have head included like the C10S (latest). C10X is the older head.

      • Yeah. What he said.

On that point…if we had a kick-arse deal on the best ball head for this tripod…..would anyone be interested in getting a bulk deal?

  • +1

Lower price here for what seems to be a slightly larger model:-

    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/SIRUI-T-1004XL-4-Section-Aluminum…
    $170.16 - 5% code C5OZ = $161.65 + $34.66 Standard International Shipping = $196.31

    • Hi PJC :)

Great product, but a different one.

      • $2.69 lower, if you're prepared to wait for the time it takes to get here from Taiwan. Many of us will have varying opinions/experiences with freight from China & Taiwan.
      • I don't know if this ebay is selling authorised product or not. You'll find out if you have a warranty issue if the serial numbers don't match up to the factory database.
      • Ours is authentic with Official Sirui 6 Year Warranty. Not sure if that means anything to anybody here, but it probably would if you had a problem after 5 years and wanted it sorted out in Australia, rather than sending it overseas. Anyone had any warranty issues with anything they bought overseas?
      • I wouldn't know, but they have 10 available. That same model crops up even cheaper here …

        http://www.goodluckbuy.com/sirui-t-1004xl-4-sections-aluminu…
        $194.75 Free Shipping

        … with E-10 Ball Head.

      • +1

$2.69 but it does have an E-10 Ball Head, unlike the one you linked above. Have I got that right?

        • You have, and that is correct!

Their price is actually pretty amazing, if you trust them and can wait. And don't want the Aussie 6 year warranty.

  • +4

Rep - please stop with the spammy deal titles. Compare your price to your previous sold price, not what another retailer is selling it for, that's what the description is for.

If you looked around the site you'll see that's how every other post title is and for good reason.

    K.I.S.S.

    • -4
      • Yes, I can remove that reference to Amazon being more than double our price.
      • My impression was that buyers would like to know that they can get it for less than half Amazon's price from sellingoutsoon. I know I would. So please don't make me sound like a car salesman.
      • Also, it was only changed back because you got it wrong. I don't know where you got the $270 price from, I thought it was $248…
      • About that KISS reference, thank you for the romantic interest (it wouldn't be the first time) or does it have the usual more 'personal attack' type meaning? And if so, as a power user who knows all the things, are you sure you're actually allowed to call another OzBargain member stupid, according to the site guidelines?
      • +4

Your eBay listing is showing as $248 + $22.60 postage.

The rest I'll just choose not to reply to, I knew you wouldn't have a simple reply to the request.

        • It's cool mate, it's because you're in Perth and you're looking on ebay which charges calculated freight to WA, everybody's postage will vary this way.
And you're right, I'm anything but simple :) which is why nearly all coffee disappoints me. All I ask for is amazing, is that too much to ask?!

  • +3

Negging because lower prices elsewhere for essentially the same item including an E-10 Ball Head which is excluded from Associated OP's offer.

    • Not sure I'd neg something for $2.69 difference you know is authorised against something that is an unknown from China/Taiwan which like much Sirui on ebay turns out fake. (some of the fakes are quite good though, I might say…but not good enough, and especially if you've agreed to buy a genuine item)

Here are a few good reasons to shop locally from Australia's only authorised Australian dealer, Selling Out Soon:

      • Authorised vs unknown product
      • Only $2.69 difference
      • Our service is so much faster on this item - in fact we've already shipped all the orders before 2pm today!
      • These 16 people don't trust the Taiwanese ebayer
      • We've got triple their positive ebay feedback
      • Yet they've got 8x our negative feedback and that's just in one year (we only have two negative ratings out of over 10,000 positive transactions, and we offered a positive resolution for each of them)
      • Specifically, buyers of the Taiwanese ebayer claim very long shipping times and other issues, you can read it if you want more details
      • If you do get what they advertise, it is a good price and it includes a ball head, but we've offered a deal on a much better ball head. It's not cheap, but it's worth far more, is more solid and a far more advanced product, as numerous reviews on the internet will attest.
      • We like people

I know I would choose local authorised product sent same day for the $2.69 difference.

    • +4

I wonder if the rep just chooses not to see that your example has the head too

      • It's a reasonable thing to wonder. But isn't it more reasonable to read what I actually wrote, which said that?

        • +3

Both my examples include the E-10 Ball Head. Feel free to price match.

        • @PJC: I replied to BS, not you mate…I already agreed with you. Your neg still doesn't make sense to me, looking at the big picture when buying things from Taiwan/China. Maybe you've had a better experience than others?

        • +2

          @sellingoutsoon:

Please let's stay polite, OK? https://www.ozbargain.com.au/comment/4914507/redir

That Member's username is Spackbace, not BS. Member Spackbace helpfully corrected your 62nd post's title twice because competitor prices do not belong there.

… looking at the big picture when buying things from Taiwan/China.

So where was your stock manufactured?

As a result of our high level of commitment in terms Quality and performance SIRUI has become one of the most popular and most aspiring Brands in China. http://www.sirui.eu/en/home/about-us/

        • @PJC: Oops, sorry, I was thinking Backspace and put BS for short. Seriously, sounds like a joke but it's not. Long day, not enough coffee. The original factory is in China, I think everybody here knows what I mean, ask these 16 people who left negative feedback for your ebay seller if you really care that much about it. I'm sure they'll have a valid opinion since they are the ones that had the problems we're alluding to. That's why Sirui doesn't authorise everyone to sell their stock. The easiest place sellers with questionable product get to sell to the west is ebay. The internet is full of war stories, and you know that as well as I.

tl;dr big difference in one of the best manufacturers in China and 'just anybody' selling on ebay from China/Taiwan.

I don't think there's anything we actually disagree on, outside semantics. So let's just leave it there, if you don't mind.

        • +1

@sellingoutsoon: Yet, in addition to that $2.69 saving, the included E-10 Ball Head has some value.

        • @PJC:

I already agreed, way back….although it's really not the best ball head for this.

And to round it off, in terms of what comprises value:

Here are a few good reasons to shop locally from Australia's only authorised Australian dealer, Selling Out Soon:

          • Authorised vs unknown product
          • Only $2.69 difference
          • Our service is so much faster on this item - in fact we've already shipped all the orders before 2pm today!

          @sellingoutsoon:

I know I would choose local authorised product sent same day for the $2.69 difference.

The difference is now $4.25 plus the E-10 Ball Head. http://www.goodluckbuy.com/sirui-t-1004xl-4-sections-aluminu…

How much does the E-10 Ball Head cost please?

        • @PJC: I don't know we don't sell it on its own.

        • +1

@sellingoutsoon: Fair enough. I think I found one here from the country where they are made:-

          http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Sirui-E-10-Universal-Camera-Tripo…
          $132.15 Free Postage.

Your neg still doesn't make sense to me

          $4.25 + $132.15 = $136.40.

        • -1

@PJC: But it's still a different model. And who knows, maybe we could do that model cheaper than they do. It's just that we don't sell it at the moment. Last time Selling Out Soon did a Sirui deal it was nearly HALF of B&H's price, and this time Selling Out Soon is less than HALF of Amazon's price.

It doesn't get much better than that, if you want genuine product with Aussie warranty, which serious photographers really care about. But since it's 6.37pm on a Wednesday night and I'm sitting here typing this to you, instead of talking to other people, in person, one may postulate as to why one would want to go to the effort?

So maybe you'll win the battle for that last dollar, and I hope that makes you feel like a real winner at life, because in so doing, you are incentivising reps to cast their pearls elsewhere, despite our LOVE for OzBargain. Which means it is you who is making all the other OzBargainers lose. This is largely why I didn't do create any SOS deals on OzBargain for a year. Yes, people like you have power. The power to make everyone lose, while adding nothing of value. It's like being a suicide bomber, but without a reason. If no deals, OzBargain suffers in the long run. I would have thought Aussies would encourage other Aussies to provide excellence, especially at more than fair prices like this.

Elliott Goblet, the nearly-successful Australian comedian said it best: "I was given a see-saw as a child, I wouldn't let anyone else on it". And that's what happens when people don't help each other.

        • +1

@sellingoutsoon: Slightly larger model, better value, especially with the E-10 Ball Head. I found a better deal and shared it before other Members did.

That last dollar (or $4.25) you want from your fellow OzBargain members …

          despite our LOVE for OzBargain.

The comment about this guy sounding like a used car salesman is funny. No further comment.

    • Haha, which one? Spackbase, who actually was (and/or is) a car salesman, or me, who actually isn't, but was accused of sounding like one ….by one who actually is one!

      Now that's actually funny :)

      • +4

You might have to lighten up mate. I think you are coming off as too defensive.

        • -1

Hey - you said "no further comment". But there it is - a further comment

          :)

No I actually wasn't being sarcastic or defensive, it's pretty common knowledge around here that Spackbase is (or was) a car salesman. As in really. You can ask him if you like. And that's why it is funny (yet still hard to believe!)

        • +4

          Oh well, I tried.

        • @YellowKnight: Tried what, may I ask? (This is a sincere question) Note: this post was rewritten because it disappeared.

        • -1

@YellowKnight: Well, I was lightened up, then asked you a sincere question, to which you didn't reply, but thought negging the deal would be a better option. I was under the impression that you got good service from us before. What is the issue, may I ask? This is not sarcasm, it is a real question, just like the last one you seem to have misunderstood. Feel free to PM me if you've got a real issue so I can help you resolve it. But the neg doesn't make any sense at all, you generally really like our deals enough to buy them.

    • +1

      LOL 😂

If op is like this i hate to think how bad the customer service is.

You will probably have to sell a kidney to get the 6 year warrenty.

      Cue op's comical reply…

      • Nothing funny about that. Service is everything. But it's not being a slave, it is serving the agreement. Doesn't mean a bit of banter is evil though, that's what forums are for. But everyone who knows the internet knows that negative experiences rise to the top. Classic sensationalism. Same reason the news is full of bad things until 30 seconds from the end, where the birth of a new panda at a zoo somewhere is meant to give new hope in the world…after they've scared most people from leaving their front door. So usually only the negative speak up in situations like this, but that said, let's put it out there, how's the service, anyone who's bought something? Did the company do what it said it would do?

None of the Negs above warrant it. (I negged both of their posts - not OP)

    Hoobi
    - Which Manfrotto product are you talking about? Is it as light, as small as Sirui?
Using your argument, Dyson vacuum cleaner should be negg-ed because the cheaper alternative from BigW/Kmart will just do the job. That's a suck-y (no pun intended) argument.

    PJC
Aus Manufacturer warranty vs Grey import/no warranty. It's not apple to apple comparison.

Personally, I don't need another tripod.
I already have Gitzo GT1542 and Sirui T1205X as a backup tripod :)

    • Thanks for the voice of reason. It's OK with me if anyone has whatever opinion. It would be better if there were no positives or negatives, letting everybody have their say. That's actual equality. Otherwise it can degenerate into a police state, where political correctness wins, and vitality, personality, and true diversity dies, along with all the smart people. Happens all over the world, sadly. Love that movie: Idiocracy. Let's not become that.

    • +4

Nearly sold out? Are you bloody kidding me? Or is it because I currently have 30 in my cart, with a checkout system that is more than happy for me to proceed with the purchase?

Wouldn't call 30+ "sold out", however you wanna spin it.

      • +3

And now almost by magic you're down to 5…ah huh

Ah well, let's hope this 'deal' closes in 24hrs…i mean, you won't be extending it will you, like 90% of your other '1 day only' deals?

        • +2

Come on, be reasonable. Those other 25 were sold in the past 7 hours to Members who could not spare 0.38 seconds plus-voting this post.

          (4) We temporarily went out of stock, but have now allocated more stock to this discount code, so more buyers can get the deal. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/comment/4914507/redir

        • +4

          @PJC:

Wait, you mean to tell me those numbers might be bogus? And now it will stay as 5 available until the end of the day? And that they didn't suddenly check with their warehouse during the middle of the night?

This all seems too good to be true!

Oh and before the rep responds with an essay, I was able to add 30 to cart without the code and it was more than happy for me to proceed.

        • +3

@Spackbace: Store Rep OP transcended the laws of mathematics and exploited a wormhole in the space-time continuum to ensure stock availability for us lesser mortals. How can you be so insufferably ungrateful? Next, you'll imply he got stuck with superceded tripods and posted them here to avoid eBay fees. That would be outrageous as it is purely coincidental Sirui's Australian Distributor http://mainlinephoto.com.au/brands/Sirui.html lists neither this model nor OP's company http://mainlinephoto.com.au/stockists/ as a stockist and none of those stockists list it either.

        • +3

I like this guy. Always thought the prices were overpriced from the start anyway.

        • +1

          @PJC:

Wait, so this is just more advertising speak:

6 Year Official Sirui Australian Warranty ONLY available from sellingoutsoon.com.au

You mean there's other stores that provide this 6yr warranty?

          Say it ain't so!

        • +2

          @PJC:

Oh no we're down to the last 3 zomg we better get in quick!

It wouldn't be convenience that the number has changed now that the rep is online ;)

        • +3

          @Spackbace:
          Sirui Tripods and heads.

All Sirui products are covered by an Extended 6 year AUSTRALIAN warranty against manufacturing defects.
This warranty is only vaild for Sirui products purchased from us direct or one of our stockists / resellers as listed on our website http://mainlinephoto.com.au/warranty/

        • +3

@Spackbace: Sirui say their distributor http://www.sirui.com/intl-distributors.html is Mainline Photographics, whose warranty page says the warranty is only valid from one of their stockists. OP's company is not on their stockists list. http://mainlinephoto.com.au/stockists/

          @PJC:

I wonder how long before the rep responds with an essay full of marketing speak

        • +3

          @Spackbace:

one may postulate as to why one would want to go to the effort? https://www.ozbargain.com.au/comment/4915342/redir

Nostradamus was somewhat vague, but I suppose it will be heralded by trumpeting of angels and a lengthy eclipse before we are informed of delightful misunderstandings and colleagues' human error.

        • -3

@Spackbace: Very entertaining, no essay needed. Stock was low, yet factory was ready to dispatch at time of deal, so we added a few hundred in case deal went well and removed later, as we can process Express delivered stock fast, serving more OzBargainers at the discounted rate, but with all the added value of Authorised Australian Stock.

          • Negativity (opposing maturity, growth, progress, humanity) stunts everything: deals, relationships, motivation, most of all…possibility, and it just hurts the OzBargain community in the end, if you care about what other people want, not just about being right or feeling smart
          • Who else discounts genuine Sirui for OzBargainers, including 6 Year Official Warranty in Australia at zero cost, usually with 24 hour turnaround, or less?
          • OzBargainers like deals, so we try our best to help, hoping it will be meaningful to people who otherwise are forced to pay retail

Because isn't that why we're all here?

        • +3

          @sellingoutsoon:

including 6 Year Official Warranty in Australia at zero cost, usually with 24 hour turnaround, or less?

But there's nothing to say you're an official stockist, outside of your own site.

          @Spackbace:

… factory was ready to dispatch at time of deal, so we added a few hundred

A perfectly realistic expanation. Damn it my nose just hit my monitor.

How do I report if if the seller keeps private messaging me? I thought that was against the rules.

    • +3

Block them or TWAM to report. This rep did the same thing to me before they got banned last time.

      Guidelines for Store Reps

Representatives are strongly discouraged from unsolicited private message communication to users for any reason

For all the rep's quoting of guidelines above (regarding neg votes), they sure seem to ignore other guidelines as it suits them.

    • +2

Not the first time this rep has been called out for unsolicited pm's

    • -2

How do I report if if the seller keeps private messaging me? I thought that was against the rules.

Speak to your mummy and she will take the ten seconds to block them.

    • +4

The op did the same to me. I really dont want PM from this nut.

      • I'm not sure you know what I wrote to someone else, but I do, and I just posted it for all to see, so now you do too. And that's what I'm doing here too (word for word). Let's see what really happened.

        Subject: About that neg

Message: Hey Hoobi :) no hard feeling mate, it was a simple link error to the wrong product which sipped through in the hurry to get the deal out before the end of lunchtime!

Since we're not bad people, sirui is fantastic, and there is nothing else out there as good for anywhere close to this deal, any chance you'd kindly remove the neg?

Because it makes us look bad. And we're not!

        • What does everybody else think, is this polite, considering the actual price quoted at Amazon was exactly correct, and we showed every other argument to be false, to the fair assessment of the OzBargain community, showing the neg was invalid on the basis of every argument presented?
        • +2

Thanks for being honest and admitting to the fact that you sent unsolicited PMs to me and others.

Since this is against ozbargin policy i have reported your post as suggested by the moderator in the post below.

    • For those interested in the content of the Private Message, here it is for all to see (word for word):

Please note this person was considered to be friendly, who asked questions on our other Sirui deals, and was answered promptly and genuinely. No issues. On Wed, 14/06/2017 - 23:18 YellowKnight messaged me asking for a deal, and provided a name and a phone number and seemed normal enough at the time, so I was under the impression that they were friendly and would be easy to deal with. I also thought they'd bought from us, because nearly everybody who asked for a deal was offered one, and many took it up, to the best of my knowledge, but I'm not in that area, so I could be wrong. When I asked on this deal how their purchase went, I got no answer, so maybe that's the answer… Anyway, wanted to be upfront about what was said, and show it wasn't sorcery, just an honest question to help the person get over whatever imaginary issue beguiled them.

Subject: Is there an actual problem?
Message: Sorry, but I really don't get it. What I said was sincere (and verifiably true). Why are you acting like this, can you tell me, and be sincere about it please?

    • From store rep code of conduct:

Representatives are strongly discouraged from unsolicited private message communication to users for any reason, especially for commercial advertising which is explicitly forbidden. However we encourage store reps to respond to private messages from users seeking assistance with a deal that has been posted.

Any users getting unsolicited private messages from store reps should report them to moderators.

      • +3

Thanks for posting. I received unsolicited PM from this OP as he has admitted to above. I have reported this as you have suggested.

This seller almost comes across as stalker crazy now.
