Ingram Micro?
J Mills in Perth
ebay is a joke for current electrical items!.
i.e looking for a webcam, cheaper at retail store than ebay..go figure
agreed.
Good price but no deal eddie, Substandard performance, underpowered CPU.
I am looking at QNAP 419P twice the price but much much faster
A Porsche is twice the price and also much faster than my car. A silly comparison in my view.
agreed……you can get a unit for twice the price and it will be faster
hyundai = $25,000
commodore V8 = $50,000
dude….you are special
im referring to the HT deal, using Ebay as a comparison to show its MORE EXPENSIVE
Good use of a neg.
WTF ?
is there a new model comming?
also this has got me thinking, could you build your own nas???
new (better faster) model is the NVX, intel processor and twice the price.
This is a good file store however.
and google freenas, there are good linux distros around which do. just needs an old PC with loads of bays
Thought I would check out a price match with OfficeWork's but that got canned due to special order only with them hence exempt from price match.
lol….thanks for that. i was gonna try that tomorrow! ill save my time
good price and the readynas community site is pretty good. www.readynas.com.
Had one of these units for 3-4 years now, really forget when I got it but the company was called Infrant back then.
The only issue I have is it's network capabilities seem a bit slow, but that's just a sign of it's age. Always check the HDs you want to use are on the compatible list, in particular new models like 2 TB drives. I have my one with 4 x 1 TB drives in RAID5 though plan to upgrade it to 4 x 2 TB soon.
Support has been very good over the years, though how much longer that will last given it's age I don't know.
Very tempted to get a second at this price.
Not THAT cheap…you can get them @ $378 pickup from UMART…
Since this unit is only available from WA, shipping to east coast might cost $20 or so…
Good deal for WA for sure!
This price is cheaper than my Netgear wholesaler sells the for!
