It turns out that Final Fantasy XIV wasn't the Final Final Fantasy
If only I had a PS4. Most FFs are awesome, I started from FF7 like most people I suppose (outside Japan). Stunning visuals and entertaining storylines. Last one I've played was XIII-2 so no idea what they are like after that though.
Similar to u, i started playing at ff7, really like ff9, ff 10 and ff 10-2. Not so much for ff 13 series, graphic were good but not as good anymore these days compared to the good old days
If you're a patient gamer, most Final Fantasies(Fantasy's?) are now on the PC. You can emulate 7, 8 and 9 and every NES and SNES game before that (or just grab them on Steam). X and X-2 came to PC with the HD version after a couple of months on PS3. 13 and it's sequels are all on Steam. And the MMOs 11 and 14 are both on PC as well.
The only games not on PC are 12 (although you can get a PS2 emulator and run the old version) and 15, which is speculated to come to PC eventually.

Well, we are on OzBargain after all. $4 makes a big difference (not in a sarcastic tone).
I'm all for saving money, and I'm all for buying preowned when it comes to price, but you're saving 3.97 over buying it new from the same store.
I don't want no grotty ass cover, I don't wanna take a chance on the manual even being there (wait, never mind, I forgot most games don't have manuals anymore), I ain't getting some dodgy ass scratched disc, none of that, for 3.97.
10 bucks or so, sure, but 5 and under is just not worth it to me, but that's just me.

I bought a 'new' game from EB online during their sale recently and even it didn't come with a case…

You have to be careful if postage is high when ordering from EB, that's the best indication they're shipping from a store and not the warehouse.
