LET's see how much it can drop by the end of year. $2k?

Keep in mind Panasonic shit the bed regarding apps - there's no Stan, Plex, Amazon Prime Video (in Australia), Foxtel Now / Go etc…

    • That's what an external smart box is for.

      • Yep… PS4 or Xbox One anyone..?

Got the MiBox, best $80 I have spent this year. Got the olds one, they bought the sister one and are getting another one for the spare rooms next time on sale.

I can't believe how fluid they are.

Have the xb1 and ps3, don't even bother using them as a smart device as they are too clunky ui-wise.

          Just my $0.02.

@Andoes: Yeah they're pretty good - set my folks up with one and they love it

Don't know why someone would downvote that - I own the 2016 model and it's a frustration when the Sony, Samsung and LG alternatives all have robust smart apps

Yes, smart boxes are good (I've got a Shield TV) but when you're paying thousands for a TV… why wouldn't you expect better app availability?

and that apps they DO have (youtube, Netflix) SUCK.. They're so slow and clunky to navigate, and my YouTube just quits for no reason (extremely frustrating)

I've found that QLED looks very grainy. You don't notice the grain on other displays. Still looks good though.

      • Depends what was playbacked, if it's in a store and one source is divided on 20 plus tvs of course you'll notice it.

        • Not that I don't believe you. I do think it will look better at home. But I would presume the OLED and ordinary LED sources are just as divided. I don't notice the grain in those screens.

      OLED >>> QLED

      • Every time someone tries to compare QDLED to OLED, I can't help but picture Samsung's marketing team fist-bumping each in a boardroom somewhere. It will be interesting to see what terminology they cook up to differentiate the own line of OLED TV's when they eventually move that direction.
