There's at least 10 or so of these (at 4pm) Chocolate Mud Cakes with cream in the cold cakes fridge at Woolies Karrinyup. Expiry dates on most are the 23rd. They were $7.60, reduced to $1.52

Woolies starts to mark down fresh items two days before expiry/best before dates. Typically 30% off 2 days before, and 50% plus off 1 day before. If its milk or diary, you can probably add a couple days to this. The actual % off for 1 day before varies a lot, it really depends on the person who is marking it down, but its 50% minimum, but I have seen 70-80-90% off as well.
They are better than Coles in this respect, Coles only starts to mark down 1 day before at 20-30% off, then 50% on the day of expiry.

I got some Camembert reduced from about $14 down to $1 a few weeks back at Woolies… It was in better condition than some of the fresher ones I've bought before.

Yes, recently in Coles I scored Tasmanian Red Square cheese at 95% off - reduced to 37c. I only bought 8 packs because even I thought 13 was too much. Two weeks later it was still fine accompanying McVitie's Digestives while I watched Tour de France. I should have bought the other 5.
