Agreed. Would be easier to get two dockets.
Same pump is convenient but not necessary
you could go to the counter and say you'd like to pay for pump 5 and pump 6 for example?
I don't think its necessary to get 2 dockets from your shopping, unless you will exceed the 80 L (unsure?) limit of course.
Yes, get them in line one behind the other. Fill up, get someone to move the first car then move the second car into the spot and fill 'er up!
These dockets usually have limits to them - i think most say upto 80L or something like that.
dont put the fuel nozzle back. the operator cant reset it this way.
not the same scenario, but I often take jerry cans in back of ute when at bottom of fuel price cycle and/or have 10c/litre discount etc.
two fuel types has been limiting factor at times (i.e. unleaded and premium, or say unleaded and diesel).
the time I found that out I was attempting to fill a 3rd type of fuel from same bowser and it wouldn't start. I approached attendant and the answer was to fill up from another bowser to get three types on one docket.
price lock on 7/11 fuel app by mock location. always a win
The NSW app used to support searching through the entire state, I can't seem to do it now through their interface. Nowadays, I just query their api directly.

Might be useful for some.
Yes
I used to have a dual LPG and Petrol car, no problem applying 4c discount to the whole transaction. I am sure the same logic applies for 2 cars.
Edit: No problem if the LPG and Petrol were completely different pumps, either.
I have done it lots of time as I will combine 2 car fuel volume plus buying $5 to get extra 4 cents off in Woolowrths caltex.
Tried few time in Shell and got told we need 2 dockets, I never go back since then as shell are over price these days.
I have done this in a Woolies Caltex station. Doesn't have to be in the same pump, you can fill it in 2 different pumps. At the counter just ask them to bill it together and present the voucher to discount it on the total litres of fuel. Just be mindful that the max. litres for single docket is 150L I think.
just pay the $2 you save…….some things really aren't worth the effort.
Please kindly surrender your Ozbargain membership, thanks.
I swear the discount dockets say valid for only one vehicle.
Just look around the carpark in trollies or around the checkout counter, someone always leaves receipts around with fuel dockets on them. I can score a docket just about anytime without even really trying or better still buy your fuel ant an independent servo, they are often 6cents cheaper than SHell/Caltex and 20c cheaper than BP lol without worrying about a docket.
The "150 Litres" max is the crucial thing here ….. and also depends on what sort of day the console operator has had !!
Just ask nicely & they usually avail.
Ive never had an issue just filling up two cars at different bowsers and just getting the attendant to ring up both and apply the discount. Shouldn't matter as long as its under 150 ltr's. That is at Shell Coles anyway.
If things are that tight get rid of one car.
I do this often with my 4x4 (dual tanks) 150L and Wife's car 40L. 4c Voucher, $5 Spend in store for 4c and then then 5% Woolworths giftcard.
Generally save $15 to $25 each time. Generally on a cheap day where the next day jumps 20c
The only way I think you could do it is on the same pump, with the cars parked next to each other?
Might be easier to split your shopping into two and get two dockets instead
