  • How the hell is this so cheap!? I don't need a pair of wireless headphones but for this price I might just buy.
EDIT: translated the page these are wired…

I don't think these are wireless.

Yeah makes me wonder, because this is $349.95 locally but it isn't a wireless headphone. There must be some thing like a 500% markup on that local aussie price at JB.

      • There is a massive markup on Sennheiser headphones, at least in Australia.

This is the iOS/iPhone version … they are getting rid of stock cos apple no longer support the 3.5mm port … having said that, these work like a charm with Android phones (except you cant control volume using the headphone's controller)

    • This would work fine too on a PC with a decent sound card. Although you obviously couldn't use the volume control on the cord.

      • Not really. These headphones make a lot of compromises to be small and light. I wouldn't spend money on them for anything at home because there's just better options.

      They're supported on iPad still..

$350…did jbhifi increase the price so they can sell it "cheaper" in a few weeks/months?
It's just the on ear version…

  • Ordered. Thanks OP.

  • Wired version for iOS/ iPhones, not wireless. However still really good price for a decent set of headphones, if you don't mind on-ear headphones with smaller earcups. Cable is interchangeable, Android Cable on Sennheiser AU website is ~50
HN has these at $178 but shows no stock at all stores, not sure if it really has items in stock.

    • HN showed plenty of stock in my local store 7250

  • Thanks, Ordered. Also, shipping to Aus is only about $20

    • how you order one? need to register?

    • nvm, got pass registered. Worked out to be ~$AUD122 delivered

    Hows the ass on these?

Pretty flat in the lower end

    • Bass? I have the 1.0, nice and deep. I hear things I can't on my other headphones.

Just a heads up, these are very uncomfortable, especially if you have big ears like me.

    • I feel your pain. Most headphones that are supposed to cover your ears end up squashing the tops of mine 😞

    • Yeah give me an over ears any day instead. I'm currently using a Marley TTR Destiny Collection over ears.

    • Yep, I've tried these briefly, I don't find them comfortable either. On-ear gets very uncomfortable. Sennheiser make great headphones though. I had a pair of HD590's which lasted over 10 years. I then replaced them with the HD598 four years ago. Both pairs are the most comfortable headphones I've ever used.

    • These are great headphones, I picked two up for $99 when Move were closing down. Because of the metal band I am able to stretch the phones out to match my generous head. I find them very confortable when I do this. Not heavy on bass and perfect for chill or leaving them on for lengthy periods.

      • they would be v1.0 not v2.0 though?

  • Were Momentums always on-ear? I thought they were over-ear. Was tempted by the price, but on-ear is a no-go for me.

    • there's 2 types of momentums - on and over ear. The over-ears more comfortable - i soon sold my on-ear momentums, too uncomfortable after halfhour or so.
in the end, settled on these sony 7506s instead - good sound and comfortable classics: https://www.amazon.com/Sony-MDR7506-Professional-Diaphragm-H…

      • coiled cable.
