Sure but sell on Gumtree and you don't pay any fees. Though not dealing with time wasters is a big selling point for eBay.
Oh there's time wasters on eBay, perhaps not to the same degree as GumTree but I still get a few.
The most annoying ones are idiots who buy something and then don't pay, even had one idiot who said they would only pay once I delivered the item.
Then enjoy a slew of people messaging you asking for the game for $75 less than the listing price, as well as have people never show up to collect the game, or change the time about three times during the day.
The extra dollars it cost to sell on eBay is worth not having to deal with those scumbags.
I don't know why people keep mentioning selling fees, they should be incorporated into the selling price and it's the buyer who pays them.

I got this a while ago, sold a game and ebay never came through with the voucher. I asked why through the help desk, and they came back with some BS about the T&Cs, eligibility or some shit, and for the sake of $10 I couldn't be bothered chasing it up anymore. So just a heads up, don't sell something $10 under value thinking the voucher will make up for it, as it might not even come through.
It sounds like you didn't read the T&Cs and are upset that eBay didn't send you a voucher because of that.
I actually did read the T&Cs after the fact I can't figure out what I did that made the offer not apply. Ebay didn't specify what it was either. I followed the link through the e-mail, it said if the game sold with in the month I'd get the voucher. The game sold later that day, but alas, no voucher.

I've sold a bunch of games on ebay and have a bunch left to sell, but of course no invitation. Not a bad deal, otherwise.
I had the same offer a few weeks back sold some games and they did not give me the $10 voucher either.
ebay should rename themselves to Fraud bay.
They just make promises and don't keep them.
Would this balance out final value fees and insertion fees? Doesn't seem like a great offer to me.
