DELL Studio notebook ($1100-$1500): probable discount?

Hi,

I am after a DELL studio 15.6" i5 4GB notebook (with the options, it adds upto $1500).

I am wondering what sort of a discount I can expect through various coupon codes and DELL's
cash-off/free upgrade offers. I know that NRMA membership gets me 8% off at the moment.

Also, it is better to order online or over the phone?

    XMC2FMJ$MRG8WC will get you 10% off, but ends today.

    Order over the phone. With cheap laptops like this they can give bigger discounts or free upgrades/accessories. Just haggle well.

      I called DELL. Customer service officer, after talking to her supervisor, offered me 2.5% off!

      I told her that I already had a discount code for 10% off and she suggested that I use that code since they could not offer anything better.
