I am currently using KMART performance cheap batteries 24 for $5. They die within a few hours. So I end up buying a new 24 pack every month. Which batteries are long lasting for Xbox One controller?
Thanks in advance,

Wow. Thats great input. Very Helpful. Thank You :)
ALDI rechargeables, IKEA rechargeables, Eneloops
Do you have to buy a recharger to recharge them. How much is it?
Grabbed an aldi recharger ~$20, and one of the nitecores that get posted on ozbargain ~$20
I did the same thing. The Aldi batteries are great!
Won't you save more in the long run with the Play and Charge kit?

Can also get generic versions for half the price on ebay.
I like this. Straight from Xbox. Reviews look great. ~27 from JB-HIFI. Thinking of getting this as opposed to rechargeable batteries and recharger.
Rechargeable batteries have more use in different devices (oculus touch controllers, tv remotes, kids toys, some electronics, etc) hence I went with a charger + various AAA and AA batteries.
Most rechargeable batteries are NiMH. The ALDI charger does NiMH and NiCd. The Nitecore on top of NiMH and NiCd does include charging for lithium ion batteries (higher energy densities - see 18650s etc - these see use in vapes, higher end torchlights, also commonly in laptop batteries, powerbanks).
It's not necessary to run the controller wirelessly off battery power, since all you need to do is hook it up to the console using its micro usb port (it won't charge the batteries).
My xbox sits on my desk hooked up to a monitor, since the distance is so close, I'd just keep it connected to the console and it wouldn't consume any battery. I've got a bunch of 5M microusb cables for phone charging - but most of the time it's just me playing anyway.
100% this
Have never looked back since moving to plug n play
Not that I play much any more :(
But it's much quicker to simply plug in should controller die than trying to change the batteries and preserve your KD ratio
(rechargeable headset also a godsend - picked one up during one of the eBay sales ty ozb)
Alkaline batteries have the best bang for buck imo
