Best Replacement for Soon-to-Be-Defunct ANZ AmexCards?

ANZ will de-activate all of their bank issued AMEX cards in two weeks time and I’m still looking for an OzBargain-approved replacement to my ‘Rewards Travel Adventures’ account with VISA & AMEX.

I’m assuming the best approach is to hold an AMEX issued card, and then find a bank account that offers a VISA/Mastercard with a good rewards & bonus package.

So which non-Amex bank card are my fellow OzBargainers recommending? Is there currently a consensus best VISA/Mastercard?

    was in the same spot as you last month when they emailed me.

    i applied for the amex velocity for the 100k points.

    im keeping the anz one as i do travel overseas alot and can use the no fees for overseas transaction.

    also doesnt hurt to have a free flight across aus from each card.

      I do take advantage of the new international transaction fee feature, so if I was to switch I'd want a card with the same feature.

      Maybe keeping the ANZ Travel Rewards card will be okay, as long as you're using the free flight each year to make up for the annual fee.
