  It is often on special for a lot lower, but if you do need to do an oil change in the coming 4-6 weeks it's probably better to get this than to risk paying full price.

  Supercharge batteries? What happened to their joint venture with Century?

  Supercharge batteries are made in the Philippines; whereas the Century's is made in Australia (admittedly by a now Japanese company)

    Supercharge are the best battery available ATM, for anyone is Brisbane, battery savers are the cheapest reseller. Will be interesting to see if repco can compete.

      From my checking today (needed a new battery, so compared Repco, SCA and batteries direct in NSW) and I'd say no. For a MF53 Repco wanted $199, didn't have it listed as a stocked item in any store so would need to be ordered via the supplier with a $10 delivery fee to the store - exact same battery on batteries direct is $153 (+$10 postage to my door) and battery savers list it at $169. Ended up buying a Century battery from SCA (every day price $185) with their 20% off, so even though it was a lower discount than repco's 25% the battery still ended up slightly cheaper.

      Whether it was sheer coincidence or what I don't know, but I asked Repco about their own branded battery and it just happened to be $199 also (they still appear to be rebadging Century for the Repco batteries). To me it looks like having the 2 brands priced the same is just to give the illusion of choice.

        @nocure: 3 years ago I paid $140 for a 55D23L made by Bosch. Guy operated out of his house. His shed was full of batteries and car parts. Either he runs a mobile mechanic, or an online shop.
