I recall maybe with 6 to 6S they had a program in place where if you had bought within x days of the 6S launch you had the chance to upgrade over to the new model.
I'm trying to suss out if there would be anything similar since I'm needing a new phone and this would make me more keen to buy.
It was called a technology guarantee or something.
Does anyone else recall something like this?
Apple do have trade in programs, but theyre not going to give you a free iphone 6s from the 6 unless you suffer some form of issue as part of an actual recall
even then they will replace it like for like with your current model etc
yeah it wasn't the trade in deal but more a sorry for buying the 6 when the 6s came out like a week later promo. kinda like, we're sorry you bought the old one and if u really want the latest you can pay a bit more and swap over.
Have not seen it myself but if you bought directly via apple its possible
via a telco no hope in hell
I recall there was something telcos might have done. There was also a lot of people claiming on apple in the first few days. People started bending phones and returning them.
