My last dash cam suffered in direct sunlight after a while.
Now, I just unplug the camera, and store it in the centre console when I'm not in the car.
I have it for about 2 years.. no problems so far… my phone holder pretty much melted in the Sydney summer but the camera still works perfectly.
Avoid gearbest. My last two orders didn't turn up and I had to fight for a refund.

my experience is same with gearbest. had to fight for a refund. after around a month, i filed paypal dispute. they said, cancel the dispute and then they will refund. I escalated the dispute and then got the refund.
I purchased one of these cameras with the last deal. It didn't show up either.
My experiences are largely good for 20+ orders. Shipping is the main problem, if it's lost, it's not really GB's fault but buyers shouldn't be left out of pocket.
I remembered one item arrived 90+ days… but better than not arriving for both sides.

Had this 2 of this model for last 18 months, 1 has stopped turning on automatically with the car ignition, both work well when running but when looking at the SD the file names are so hard to work out which date has been recorded and it seems that the card was not being overwritten after it was full. Further reading shows these are very finicky about the SD cards they have.
