Absolutely not. Look at the deal history of the PS4 on OzBargain just in the last month.
30/6/17 - 500gb PS4 $279.65 at Target eBay
10/6/17 - 500gb PS4 $279 @ Big W
8/6/17 - Even EB had a sale for a 500gb PS4 with a bundled game for $299
It may be a month or two before the next good deal comes along with the EOFY sales ending, but it will be worth the wait for full warranty/peace of mind etc.

If you're going second hand go to Cash Converters. They come with 3 month warranty and you'd get one around 200-250.
It's been at that price brand new, so no not worth it second hand. EB Games are the worst.
