I have this game- It's pretty fun but you probably wont play it with the same person many times over. It is also best played with a tablet handy for the bomb manuals.
So good if you do lots of games-centric parties, otherwise it'll likely be yet another rarely played add on to your steam library.

Confirmed - works fine without it, however I got it as part of a bundle and I had to select the key for VR OR regular (I chose regular). My steam library shows it as both anyway.
Was US$4.45 at the Steam Summer Sale but guess that's over now…
