I checked online, there are no King size bed based/frame in Melbourne IKEA
they aren't listed as king. they are listed as 180x200cm. look at the individual beds and then change the sizing.

not PU as that'll fall of after a while,
just bare timber will do, something like pallets fixed together.
I got a queen (although they do a king-sized) from King Living. It was horribly expensive (but I'll keep it for years…) however, it is easy to move and provides great storage in the base.

IMO/experience, under bed storage is not that great or useful, so you are probably limiting your options unnecessarily by requiring it.
If you have room for a king bed, you should have room for other more useful storage methods.
Actually, that is a very good point. I HATE our underbed storage. Ours is a big drawer under each side of our Queen size bed. The drawers are really hard to slide out. Also the drawers fill with dust & hair - pretty gross actually.
Gas lift bed sounds better but we got put off by the price.
