  • Yaaaaaas. Finally a great deal for south Australians. Thanks Op

    • few and far between.

    • -3

You don't usually get deals as punishment for electing your ridiculous socialist government

  • +4

Suga suga here I come, diabetes can suck my toes!

    • +1

You're going to them all in one day right?

      • +2

That's why I'll do all I can to not buy them in the first place, coz if I do, then there is nothing on earth that's gonna stop me from downing them all in a single day.

    • +6

      Pardon ?, I don't think so.

      • Haha! Touche! :-)

PS: Have you just created this account for this? You're weird! lol

    • You won't have toes after you get diabetes lol

  • +2

What a shame Not in VIC?

    • VIC always trying to steal from SA

  • -1

I have no idea at all, why did KK become popular in the last year or so. We have one in Liverpool NSW for a while and it's been empty since it opened few years ago. Now, even at midnight drive through is full, stupidity. It's just an overpriced freaking doughnut, doughnut like any other.

    • +11

      I donut know ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

    • Really? I've seen it pretty busy for years.

      • -1

It's been dead as dead can be, literally unnoticeable. McDonald's across it in the other hand is full on all the time.

        • +1

What? What times do you go that KK is not full? Around 5 - 10 pm its packed with cars and people. Around Monday Tuesday and Friday. A bunch of 18 - 25 yr olds. Sitting in the car park area even after holding drinks and dozen boxes on their cars.

        • -3

          @HeyHeyHeyIsItADeal:

Ummm i said before, in the past it has been empty. The situation is different in the last couple of years.

      • Agreed. Liverpool one probably died down a bit cause of the Campbelltown store but since it closed Liverpool is pretty packed.

    • +1

I am a Canberran and whenever I go pass the Liverpool area, I grab Krispy Kreme because Canberra doesn't have one and its always full.

  • +2

wish they had this deal in vic :(

    • +2

Your wish has been granted. Now they do. :)

  • how much does the first dozen cost?

    • $18 (well it was two weeks ago)

  • +1

Jesus!! Been around for 80 years? And still managing to continue making people fat. Actually I feel like a twin pack of the Nutella donuts now… Donuts droool giggity

  • +2

Strange it is not a National Offer, but I would say SA rights are owned separate to NSW, QLD, TAS, VIC, WA and New Zealand which are owned by 1 company.

Before the store opened in Melbourne I use to buy them at Sydney Airport, fly back to Melbourne Sunday Night and bring them in for Monday morning tea at work.

Use to nick name the flight The Krispy Kreme Express as so many other people were carrying on boxes of donuts.

Most of their business is now supplying 7-11 rather than brick & mortar stores.

If you time it right about 3-4am when they swap the Donuts out at 7-11 you sometimes get offered for free the left over donuts.

    • +3

Indeed, you are correct. Krispy Kreme SA is operated by Peregrine Corporation who also own the On The Run service station / convenience store brand. http://www.peregrine.com.au/our-business/krispy-kreme-sa/

      • +2

And for anyone outside of SA, they will have no idea what On The Run (OTR) is. For South Australians, OTR is an absolute GIANT in the convenience store space.

        • +1

You could almost swap those 2 families (Peregrine & Withers and Barlow family) around.

Silently buying the rights to support their own business in various markets.

Starbucks (Withers) might have failed with local stores, but I'm sure they used some information when 7-11 started their coffee machine roll out, which seems to be working well.

You could spend hours going down the rabbit hole of information looking at those 2 families.

  • Lol you must love KK. Sounds like you used to fly to Sydney just to get them! Now 7-11 have em you just set your alarm for the middle of the night!

    • I use to live in Sydney and work in Melbourne, so it was weekly flight.

Actually I don't really like KK and often turn down the offers from 7-11.

Do they have KK at 7-11 in SA?

Given this is a new offer with some lead time, maybe KK Aust will match the offer.

      • +1

        No 7-Eleven in SA :(

  • diabetes yey!!! gogogo!!!

  • after seeing this deal, I think the cost for KK to make these doughnuts is $0.80 / dozen.

  • +2

Valid ONLY Friday 14th July 2017 and only while stocks last.
Not available at OTR North Terrace.

Just updated deal to mention North Terrace isn't included. If you are on that side of the city then Grenfell St is the next closest.

also available in NSW, QLD, VIC and WA according to link.

    • I came to post exactly this, please update title

  • Anyone know what the online exclusive offer for the 13th of July is yet?

    From their website:

Can’t get to a store on 14th July? Watch this space for an Online exclusive offer to be announced on 13th July.

    • The online exclusive offer will be available today 5pm and won't be for tomorrow delivery. I got this information from their Facebook team.

      • I placed an order for delivery Monday. It seems you can order now and have delivery whenever

  • +1

Does anyone know if the newsletter signup discount code works with the birthday packs?

    • It told me code invalid so I believe not.

  • In SA it looks like it's a prepacked dozen, not 'any dozen'. e.g. 'buy any prepacked dozen' - https://www.facebook.com/KrispyKremeSA/photos/gm.14439774423…

    • In VIC I went to the store and I was able to pick my 12

      • -3

That's nice but irrelevant. I was speaking about SA.

        • +1

Irrelevant to you maybe. Not irrelevant in the slightest to the Vic OzBargainers reading this, which is who colblair was notifying

        • -1

@Wampus: no, a 'report' on the actual post with the correct information would be helpful. I didn't say anything about Vic.

Colblair could have written a comment on the post in general.

Thanks for the pointless arguments anyway.

        • It said the same thing in vic 'pre-packed dozen' but I showed up and was able to pick the 12 myself.
So it may not be the same in SA, but at the same time I can show you from my experience that just because it says 'pre packed' doesn't mean that's definitely what it'll be.

        • @colblair: It seems to be slightly different, as per https://www.krispykreme.com.au/news/83/krispykreme80th/ -

          In-store Offer

For one day only, “Buy any Dozen and get an Original Glazed Dozen for 80 cents”*. Join us in store on 14th July 2017 to get this exclusive offer. While stocks last.

Offer redeemable at Krispy Kreme stores in NSW, QLD, VIC and WA only.

The Facebook page for SA, on the other hand, said pre packaged dozen and that is what the rep said when I messaged them on Facebook to confirm. If someone from SA confirms otherwise, then I'll understand, but from what I have seen so far, NSW, Qld, Vic and WA can choose their dozen while SA is prepacked (and I've heard less than pstive things about the prepacked doughnuts!

        • @em:

ah ok, no problem - good luck if you decide to buy. Maybe best to show up to a store to see what you'd get

  • Can never take advantage of these offers since the nearest KK store is over an hour away whereas 7-Elevens are fairly plentiful.

  • Just highlighting the fact that the online specials are available until Sunday, while the instore specials are only available today

  • … also to note… it may be possible to order online at the discounted price with a future pickup / delivery date. I have an order for next month with the status as 'processing' so we'll see how it goes.

  • +1

Sold out in store at brisbane myer centre :(

  • +1

    Car won't start.
Now about to run all the way to Croydon for cheap donuts!!!

  • +1

Thanks Op, got one from Swanston St in Melbourne CBD. There was a queue but was moving fairly quickly. For $27.60 I got 2 dozens (1 box of assorted ones, and 1 box of originals)

  • Does online order stack with $10 off coupon for newsletter signup?

    • I wasn't able to get it to work.

      • Thanks for reply. I should lay off the doughnuts anyway.

  • Krispy Kreme South Australia has stopped the offer (machine broke down) but as a sign of good faith, will give the first 2000 customers who buy a dozen donuts on Saturday a voucher for a dozen donuts for 80 cents.

Krispy Kreme has been overwhelmed today with people coming in to enjoy our birthday celebration!Based on the overwhelming demand we will have to STOP the offer NOW.
BUT we don’t want to disappoint – If you come into any one of our 6 stores over the weekend, we will give anyone who purchases a dozen doughnuts an $0.80 OG dozen voucher to use at another time
    https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=1514225568598500…

    • i didnt have any such problems today. in and out in 5 mins. tbh i dont even really like them. will probably take forever to finish them all. i'll think of the disappointed children today as i struggle to eat them.

and 'machine broke down'. what a crock.

  • Its crazy here in Narre Warren Vic store. Police just now arrived for traffic management.

  • Put an order for delivery on Monday before 5pm (as I was working from home).

As of 6:45pm no doughnuts and one quite disgruntled customer.

    Shame on you KK …
