  • Bought 1 case, thanks OP

  • Coldstream is great cider.
However coldstream from a can is not

    • +8

does it taste like a warmstream from a… nevermind…

    • Pour it into a glass, damn.

      • what i am saying is that the can gives it an odd flavour - tainted, regardless if you put it into a glass or what.
But this is just my opinion,

        • I have to agree, I bought some yesterday and they are awful, they have a very "tainted" flavour. I'm not 100% convinced it's due to the cans, but eeeew, they're horrible. They taste like 3 day old left over beer bottles smell.

Anyone looking for 23 cans of filtered puke?

Just FYI, all stock is dated best before 14/7/17.

You mean Note that all stock is marked best before 14th July 2017 as per deal description & DM site?
      I hadn't noticed that ;-)

Had in cart for pickup… But in the minute to change to CR to save 70c - Now no local stock left ;-(

  • Cheers, I have some drinking to do

  • man the stock search interface is painful. Not entirely sure if deliberate or just incompetent

    • +1

Why would they make it deliberately painful?

      • +1

To make it harder to find good bargains.

  • bought one case. Unavailable in all Adelaide stores except Marden!

  • thanks just got 2 cases

  • Got a call from DM saying that they don't stock that anymore and need to cancel my order. They only have the 4 packs but they are out of date…

    • Which store? I'm just about to purchase one 8km away.

      • Marion in SA

        • Try Marion my order confirmed and ready for collection

        • @roland: sorry I mean marden

  • Is it okay drinking these after the best before date? Surely this cider doesn't suddenly become bad after 14 July.

    • Doesn't seem dangerous from a basic google search

      • +12

Its a slippery slope. A coworker of mine started by eating food that was a few days out of expiry, then a few weeks, then a few months. Now he scoops up roadkill off the highway and bbqs it
He also acquired a meth addiction around the same time, but I'm sure that's got nothing to do with it.

        • But does he do 2 week expired milk?

    • Depends how long after, but in general should be fine. Probably just doesn't taste as good.

    • It's only 'Best before', not 'Use by'.

So it will probably taste bad the longer you leave it. But if you aim to drink it within a month or so of the date it should be fine.

    • -1

it was bad BEFORE the BBD, so unlikely you would notice a difference ;)

  • +1

Isn't cider made from pears called Perry?
Is there are difference between perry and pear cider?

  • Tried it for both Frankston and Karigal. Despite Karingal claiming 30 cases in stock, the order wont go through. Might be something Im doing wrong, not sure

    • Had no problem adding a case when using Frankston or Karingal store for pickup. Won't go through with order. Sorry to say its user error.

      • I see now. Might be something to do with firefox, because the payment button at the bottom wasn't there until i switched to edge

  • Plenty still at Doveton DM

  • Bought this for $35 for a care not long ago, it actually takes trrribke and I am on the verge of being an alcoholic
