Where Can I Buy IKEA Bed Frame Parts?

I've just moved into my new apartment for 2 weeks, now my IKEA bed frame (Trysil) broken during the night, the mid beam, 2 thin bracing and the metal plate that connect those 3 together are deformed. (probably because it has been disassembled twice). IKEA won't let me exchange those parts without the receipt, it has been like 2 years, even if I've kept the receipt, words on it would have been faded away.

Now I have to sleep on my mattress that put in the frame without any holding beams but directly on the floor :(

Anyone has an idea where to buy those parts? I'd googled it but only found the mid beam were selling around $20.

Thanks in advance everyone.

If you go in to an actual Ikea store the have a parts section after the cash registers (normally where you pick up bulky items), and they can sometimes get you the parts you need.

If you have an IKEA family card and scanned it when your purchased the frame, they should be able to try and sort you out

Membership card will prove purchase if you have it. Large furniture usually have a 5 or 10 year warranty. Other than that, everything in Ikea is sold in parts, so a bed is actually a 3 to 5 part furniture. You can probably try to get the corresponding part from the warehouse section.

  • Bget a receipt with Ikea logo, heat paper till it goes from black to white again. Lie saying it's your receipt. (Obviously a joke)

Or go online on your bank find the transaction, you only need proof of purchase.

    • Exactly what I thought LOL

  • you don't even need a proof of purchase.. go into a store and next to the returns area they have a spare parts. If they don't have it, they can send it to you from Sweden (i did it last month when i lost a bracket when friends were moving)

    • thanks, will definitely try it recently.
