My bad lmao, I'll take this down
Just to point out, compared to the previous deals this one lacks the dedicated 256gb SSD, has 8 instead of 16gb ram, and the GTX 745 card is the 4GB version as opposed to the 8GB version of the 1070 in this deal
You're right, my bad.
That's a very round-about way of saying 'it's a different model'.
True, that is a whole 39 words less
745? that's like a grandfather card now hey?
It was obsolete on launch.
agreed
I feel sorry for the person who gets this bought for them thinking they would be receiving a gaming computer.
Who thinks a 745 is a gaming suitable card? Even if that did happen you would just return it
People who buy pre-built systems often don't have the knowledge base to know. Dell advertise XPS as their premium/gaming line and an average consumer wouldn't be wrong in thinking that XPS tower+$1300= should play games better than a nearly 3 year old XPS laptop with a 960m in it.
Dell appear to offer a 15 day money back guarantee even for buyers remorse which is good.
That's why they should sought out a bit of time and ask around, even if its just a local techie online, they're are dime a dozen these days or ask here. OzB community have some good recommendations.
This system does look overpriced to me.

You don't say.
At $1329.05, this might be a better option - Dell Inspiron Desktop 7th Gen Core i7-7700 12GB RAM 1TB HDD Nvidia GTX 1050 2GB.
It has a better GPU and 12GB of RAM, but only half the HDD with no SSD cache

You could build a system with the same CPU plus 16GB RAM and a 1050ti for around the same price. I guess this is pretty good if you don't wanna build one yourself and you actually need the CPU horsepower. Otherwise a build with an i5 or Ryzen would be better value if used mostly for gaming. If you dropped the i7 and got a i5 7500 instead you could use the difference for a 1060 or even a 1070 if you can manage to find a deal.
The model you have linked to has a GTX745?
