Car Insurance Repairs - How Long Is Waiting Period?

What is the waiting period for a car repair after an accident in the cities if you are going through insurance?

I live in a rural area on a notated lease car and hit a kangaroo trying to get home at night. Worst decision ever made and even worse was getting the car repaired in time. Almost one and half months and I still haven't got the car

  Had some paintwork done on mine this week over three panels and took them 5 days. Mine you there was a 2 week waiting list before I took it in.
