  • Unless you are worried about buying counterfeit items (not my concern anyway), I found I would rather buy on eBay coz even after 20% off, either mypetwarehouse or petbarn is still more expensive than the standard price offered by some store….

    • Could you recommend some stores that you would look into?

I have bought from these guys before http://stores.ebay.com.au/ourpetpharmacy/

I usually just use the search function to find the cheapest price.

        Budget pet products
Sometimes have good prices for flea/worming, we buy when there's spend $50 get $10 off codes.

All stores ebay or not can have good prices for specific items.

Not eBay but Pet Circle are well priced.

      • Thanks to all the reply above! I use Mypetwarehouse only because they have 4.8% cash back + if there are 10~30% off promotion. I do noticed "Pet Circle" do have a pretty good price unfortunately they don't have CR which add up to around the same as "mypetwarehouse"….

eBay on the other hand also have competitive pricing, unfortunately they don't offer free shipping…

I feed my dog (Jet Russell) with "Meal for Mutts" 9kg due to it's size. So, at the moment I'm only shop through "my pet warehouse" as they seemed to be the only one offer 9kg + CR… haha

But I have to admit, products they sell even after discount is still not cheep.

          Meal for Mutts

Good quality, grain free and quality protein.

Very similar to Ivory Coat that Pet Circle sell.

@Scab: Thanks for the head up, might as well look into Ivory Coast and see what they offer!

    • Not in my experience for premium dry food. But I do look for specific brands.

    breeder bags

The pet food industry sure knows how to come up with marketing crap.

Breeder bags, breed specific food, "prescription diets" and so on.

    All of it nonsense.

Breeder bags are just big bags that are suitable for a breeder to buy.

Breed specific bags contain extra benefits for a specific breed (e.g Maine Coons are prone to joint problems so their food has extra glucosamine, The Boxer food has bigger biscuits because they have trouble getting small/flat biscuits into their mouth due to their flat snouts, etc)

Prescription food is suitable for already sick animals (e.g kidney food has low phosphorous so animals with kidney failure won't overwork their kidneys, etc)

      • Here's an example of the ridiculous marketing:

Hills Prescription Diet Canine Ageing and Alertness.

So now there's a food for alertness?

Absolute nonsense and just look at the ingredients, here are the first two:

"Whole Grain Corn, Chicken By-Product Meal".

If a person was concerned about their pet's health, feeding them grain and corn isn't good for them.

And "by-product meal" contains animal fur, dying and diseased animals, hooves and feathers processed into "meal".

Crap food with cheap ingredients marketed as quality.

      • Oh, and here's another one "Metabolic Canine".

Ingredients: Chicken Meal, Whole Grain Wheat, Whole Grain Corn".

They use grain because it's cheap, however, grain causes all sorts of issues with dogs.

And again, chicken meal contains crap like feathers.

But I guess nobody ever reads ingredients and just fall for the shiny marketing.

EDIT: And these "breeder bags" are no bigger than other bags of kibble.
