$5 gets you a 600ml (I guess) BPA free slurpee bottle while stocks last.
Also available: $1 refills

I picked up an actual bottle in store and read the sticker on the bottle to confirm that it was BPA free
they're are on the back of the bottle.
@dragonindespair: why not just go to seven eleven and confirm for yourself please
Very good bottle in terms of quality for the price. Can confirm that it is BPA free.
Awesome. I hate when they charge extra for BPAs
Thanks haven't had a slurpee in years now a free keepsake bottle gotta collect them all
Slurp Squad… unite!
I love Slurpees and even collected all the bottle colours but I disagree it's a deal for the bottle.
Well, sorta depends on what type of bottle you're after I suppose, but I've found plenty of better water bottles to use, like push buttons and the Sistema twist one is probably my favourite.
My work water "cup" is actually the Slurpee jar. Holds heaps (same as a big Voss) and wide opening so it's easy to clean.
Camelbak is the best water bottle.
looks like they did a press release for this last month lol

So to drink it do you have to untwist the lid off and stick a straw in it or does it have a hole of some sort like the jar did? If the latter I sure hope you can seal it up.
No hole sipper lid
Thanks.
THEY SEE ME SLURPIN, THEY HATIN, PATROLLING TRYNA CATCH ME GET A BRAINFREEZE.
Hopefully they turn off your capslock after they catch you.
It's all caps on the bottle. I would like mine to say a bit more than, "THEY SEE ME SLURPIN".
Who drinks Slurpees in -6 temperature
Melbournians! #MelbourneStrong
The same group of die hards who need bottles to tell everybody they've been slurpin? BRB gotta go get a bottle…
Isn't $5 the RRP for this anyway?
Yep. The "deal" is that the first refill (normally $1) is free.
So you save a dollar lol.
Well if the attendant isn't paying attention they charge you $1 for a new bottle if they think you're doing a refill … but I was honest and said it was new.
I'd never refill in one of these - a standard Large cup holds more.
I saw on their Facebook promotions in a reply from their social media person saying its 100ml bigger than their large size that costs a $1.
Weird. Doesn't look it haha. Or maybe I'm just used to being a stacker with them.
I'd want to wash the bottle first before I filled it with something I'm going to ingest. Are they going to let you take it out of the store and come back for the first fill?
Do you do that with every drink you buy from a takeaway joint?
"Hi, large big mac meal please, can I take the cup home and wash it before you put the coke in first?"
Yes.
There are water taps near the fuel dispenser normally. You can try washing there and come back. I doubt they would let you take it home and fill next visit.
They leak all over the place.
If you fill them right up then yes. That's because when ice turns to water it takes more volume inside the bottle and something has to give. Leave 2 finger gap from top when filling Slurpee. I know this because they had these before $1 Slurpee became a thing.
Its the same with cups too I never fill the lid as its more off a failsafe so I don't get it all over my clothes.
Pffft, please, a true ozbargainer would never say something as Silly as leaving a gap at the top. The solution is to fill it way up to the top, and slurp it out before it melts and causes that problem.
A true Ozbargainer would save car cleaning costs + dry cleaning or (Laundry detergent + power cost + washing machine depreciation) over another 5c of slurpee. I pick my battles.
umm..pretty sure that ice takes up more volume than water. try filling a bottle then freezing it and see what happens.
I should have phrased it better. When cold Slurpee starts to get warmer it expands. But I am still correct.
Remember Slurpee is not solid ice. Water contracts like other liquids up until 4°C. 4°C to 0°C it expands slightly (almost insignificant) and expands more rapidly at sub zero. Since slurpee is not dispensed at sub zero (because then it would become an icypole) the fact still applies.
The lid doesn't seal at the straw or the air valve. Has (profanity) all to do with volume.
Both myself and a friend bought these from different 7 Eleven stores and both ours had too much air coming into the straw inside, which meant that when you sucked up the contents, you were mostly just getting air. Might be a common thing with these bottles, so watch out. I fixed it by pulling the straw out and putting some super glue around the outer tip and putting it back into the lid so that it was fully sealed. It now has fine suction, but I am not too sure how safe it is to use super glue in a drink bottle.
Seeing you did not glue your lips to the lid and you're alive and well, I reckon you will be fine.
I bought one tonight. As a slurpee cup, it's not that great. Can't move the straw around to break up the ice, slosh it around, and drink from the edges. I only managed to drink half of it before having to tip the rest into another cup. Also it leaks a lot.
As a regular water bottle, it might be ok. Haven't tried yet, but seems decently priced.
