Rent Any Movie for 99 Cents @ Google Play

1550

Rent any movie for 0.99c on Google play.

Redeem your offer by August 13 2017.

I checked my account and my dad's and mum's account and the tile to redeem the offer was there. So i don't think it's targeted. Appears to be targeted.

Edit. It seems from the comments that people who are not targeted can still redeem the offer by clicking on this link. https://play.google.com/redeem?code=9E1ETXDJT44P0739Z1DTZVX Credit to redhaze1 for the link :)

Let us know if it works for you.

    Thanks OP! Worked for me

    Not appearing for me

    • +2

      Me too

  • Ok. So then it must be targeted. I checked it on the google play app on my phone. I then clicked on Movies, music and books icon and there was tile that said 0.99c off any movie.

Finally I'm targeted for something. Thanks op

  • I got the deal on all my gmail accounts, thanks OP!

  • I have not login to Google Play but still can see the note of 0.99c movie in Google Play page .So I do not think it is targeted.

    Following are the detail

Get any one movie rental of your choice for 0.99ยข. Choose any title, from the newest releases to classics, including the selection below!

Discount will be added to "Account => Rewards" and applied at checkout. Watch anywhere, including offline, on your mobile, laptop, tablet, and supported Android devices. Redeem your offer by August 13th, 2017, on Google Play from compatible Internet connected devices using a Google account.

Limit 1 per user. Nontransferable. No cash value. Cannot be used in conjunction with other offers or discounts, except Google Play Gift Cards. Age restrictions apply.

    • So… we can only rent one movie from the list?

      • No. (If you are referring to the list of movies that appears when you first accept the offer). You are able to rent any movie that is available to rent.

        • Cool. I'll rent some. From memory, Google let you rent something, but only start their rental countdown once you start watching it. That might have changed now. Anyone know anything about this?

        • +1

@flaminglemon: The 99c rental applies to only one movie and yep, there's 48 hr time limit to finish watching it once you start. You have 30 days however to start watching.

        • @Big Dog: Good to know! Thanks!

  • It appeared for me in the banner at the top

Link shows 99cents but when I click on the movie it goes up to 5.99 :(

    • You must not be targeted then i guess. Did you login to google play and then click the link and then choose the movie?

      • yes.

        • oh it works with the new link. thanks.

I got the banner and it sent me to this URL: https://play.google.com/redeem?code=9E1ETXDJT44P0739Z1DTZVX

Worked for me even though I appeared to not be targeted.

Thanks for that link. I wasn't targeted with the original link but that one worked for me. Cheers.

  • Thanks OP, its on my account!

  • I got it!!!

  • Thank you!

  • I want to watch Guardian of the Galaxy 2 but it's not in the Google Play store yet. Does anyone know when it will be released?

    • +1

Looks like it hasn't been announced yet. But it's still showing in cinemas in Brisbane.

  • Thanks OP! Got it with the direct link.

  • Link works a treat!! Thanks OP

  • Got it! ๐Ÿ˜Š Thanks OP

  • Got it on both my accounts, cheers :)

  • Woot! Thanks

  • Appears for me :)

  • That link in the description worked for me.

  • Link works. Otherwise, would have been targeted.

  • Thanks OP! worked for me too :)
Anyone = Best movie out ATM for the 99c?

    • +1

What are you into? Heaps there. I could recommend Arrival to just about anyone though.

      • Arrival seems perfect - thanks mate!

    • +1

      La La Land Moonlight

EDIT: Moonlight only available for purchase, it seems.

      Logan

Seen it, and can vouch for your recommendation! Great movie.

  • Thanks! Time to watch The Red Pill :)

  • Awesome just watched Dr Strange

  • Thanks. Link worked.

  • Managed to do it twice- once by clicking the picture above 'go to deal', and again by clicking the link provided by redhaze1. Awesome

If you haven't seen 'Split' then I highly recommend that but you can't go wrong with any of the following recent releases:
Logan, Dr Strange, Arrival and passengers (check our interstellar if you like space settings and missed it)

I also had a lot of giggles watching 'fist fight' which I wasn't expecting.

I was all for 'Life' but can only buy at the moment… anyone know how long I can expect before the option to rent comes up? might have to wait it out.

or I can look at the following:
La La Land, before I fall, lego batman and beauty and the beast.

    • Sometimes waiting for "rent" option can take some time. It depends on the developer I was told when i did live chat to Google recently. I am still waiting for the new Kong movie to come out for rent. It is currently only for "buy" option.

    Link worked, Thanks Monty.

  • Apparently my account isn't eligible, I received an email from Google with a link to this deal but it doesn't work. Only came here after searching for a solution. Not sure what's going on.

    • This happened to me too.

  • +2

Pretty sure the offer was there for my two Google accounts in the morning, but not working anymore in the afternoon. Tried redhaze1's link - same thing. "Your account isn't eligible for this offer."

    • I couldn't find it on the Play store any more but the link just worked for me.

    • Had a similar problem yesterday. The offer was there when this deal was first posted, but gone when I went to redeem it yesterday. Followed the link for the same error message you got. However, just tried the link and it worked, so I recommend giving it another crack.

      • You're right. Looks like it's working again (for me). Thanks.

  • Sweet, perfect timing. Got me some extra GPlay Music - my old (discounted) sub had just expired and a cheap rental. Thanks, OP.

Too bad that Google won't let you download movies to your windows computers. I also have an Android tv and can't download yo it either even if I plug an USB stick to it. For now I'm using Microsoft movies until Google change its mind about this.

  • Hi, try to access the offer from your mobile phone instead. It worked for me.

  • Just got this same offer again for one of my accounts, this time with an expiry of October 13. I have yet to watch the previous 99c rental I got. My other account had an offer for $1.49 movie rental, still debating whether this is good enough value for a true OzBargainer.
