I picked up one at Joondalup Big W (WA) this afternoon. I didn't ask for exact numbers but appeared that they had plenty in stock. They also have Halo Wars 2 for $55 and Gears of War 4 for $39.

What makes you say that exactly? I am in the market for either an one S or PS4.. I don't think I will need/want 4K gaming which seems to be the only drawcard of the OneX and PS4Pro..
these one s console's are like eneloop's no one will buy once new model drops plus 500gb is tiny i think out of box its got 80-100gb less also you don't just get different resolution gaming but you get higher stable fps which is more important even at 1080p
Before the PS4 Pro was revealed (& ditto Xbox 1X) I was hoping they would give the option of 4k for people with 4k Tv and unlocked frame rates at 1080p. Tomb Raider 2 is the only game that's offered this to my knowledge. Horizon Zero Dawn has a ”performance mode” where you get 30fps all the time but even on the regular PS4, it's getting 30fps pretty much all the time anyway.
Always wondered why C never have any graphics options to play with. The Last of Us Remaster had an option for lowered shadow details and unlocked frame rates or a 30fps lock.

Meh, I'd buy the One S still. Not worth paying more for X1X unless you have no PS4 and no PC because they don't really have any exclusives on Xbox this generation, it'd be alright for multiplatform titles if it was your only gaming device though. I mainly got my X1S as a 4K Bluray player though since the standalone players are so expensive.
I bought the One S from the BigW deal to replace my aged original X1 after E3 showing left me with impression that the !X won't have any real benefits if you don't have 4k TV.

Yes, in about 13 years gumtree will have some bundles packs for sale. xbox 1 with 20 games included, $50 etc….
