With Apple it's not stuff being exposed to air that's the problem unless you store it with keys or coins or take it to the beach where sand can do it's stuff. It's all the corners and edges and surfaces getting scratched from contact, this type of case takes care of that without covering the Apple-iness.
I see. Yeah I'd just be worried about if I accidentally threw my keys in with my phone or something like that. Currently using a Spigen case which does the job I guess
