Have used VisionDirect in the past for both contacts and glasses, and was very happy with speed of delivery and service. As well as significant savings over brick and mortar stores.

Designer Brands such as Tom Ford and Persol (plus many more) are significantly cheaper.

They stock Dailies Total 1 , best contacts I've used, can wear for long periods without dry eyes/irritability.
SpecSavers sells them for $50 per a 30 pack.

Dailies Total 1 90 pack- $109.76 (with 10 percent off).

Potential to combine with Cash Rewards.
6.40% on glasses
3.4% on contacts

Also have partnerships with most major Australian health funds, for optical rebate.

  • Can you claim back from your private health cover?

  • I just got my new Tom Ford prescription glasses last week from Vision Direct and couldn't be happier - they arrived in 11 days, were exactly as ordered, and my health fund rebate claim went through without issue. Cost was $350 all up (before rebate), with very thin premium lenses, versus $1000 in a store - I was pretty nervous ordering prescription glasses online, but after my experience totally recommend this company, especially if you're after a particular designer frame. Savings are huge and had absolutely no issues/problems.

    • What is the breakdown of cost for that $1000 store price? Just curious

      • The frames were $600 and the lenses (1.67 with anti-glare, anti-scratch, etc. coatings) $400.

  • I've bought some contact lenses off them before. A huge saving compared to ordering from the optometrist.

Thanks OP, was looking to order from these guys soon. Expiry for the deal is set to tomorrow at 11:00 am which seems like a strange time for it to finish. Did you get this time and date from the email you received?

Yeah email stated offer ends 11am, 28th June. 24 hours only, 11am 27th June to 11am 28th June.

      • Thanks Jam, I was really happy with my first order with these guys. Was waiting for the rewards credit to be added to my account before grabbing another pair. I don't suppose you know from your experience if the rewards credits can be stacked with voucher code discounts?

Unfortunately don't think promo code and rewards stack(just tried on my account). However could potentially stack rewards with cashback.

        • @jamover:
Cheers, I might wait for the frenzy 15% off and let the rewards dollars to build up for another day if they can be combined.
