I would guess the best deal you can get at your point of entry since you would want to use it right away.

    • cheers for the tip mate

      • If you're landing in Schiphol there were 10 Euro deals for visitors from Lebara and another I forget the last time I was there. 1GB data for 30 days IIRC. Didn't buy one so can't comment.

Make sure the cheap data component can actually be used elsewhere as there is an exception but also a cost cap for cheap data, see the EU info page about this.

Wouldn't bother buying ahead of time here, you'll probably get a lot of choice there.

Been to Italy twice..First time I had a prepaid SIM I got from the travel agent and it didn't work in Dubai which was annoying cause it was meant to be one that worked all over the world. Plus it had lots of delays when I was in Italy. Second time in Italy I just bought a Voda sim at a Voda store which came with 2gig (I think) of data. They actually have SIMs for people who are visiting there. The only trap I found when I went to Singapore of course the SIM wouldn't allow me to phone anyone but the internet still worked so I was able to use viber to call out.

So maybe look and see if each country has a SIM that you could use there. Or if that's too much of a bother..No idea cause TBH I'd rather do that.

Oh and also if you're already with Voda (no idea as you didn't mention your carrier) they allow you to do some switch with your account if you're going overseas.

    • Thanks for the help mate. How much would 2gig of data cost? Oh yes silly me im with Optus, so they have some 10 dollars a day roaming plan which im not too keen on haha, i think vodafone is 5 dollars a day

      • Can't help you on that. You'll need to do your own research on that bit as I was there 2 to 3 years ago..So, things might of changed but I can't see it changing that dramatically. However, the one thing I noticed there was plenty of free wifi around (bars/cafes/sometimes shops) if you really wanted to connect to the internet.
