Soon i will be going to US and i will be buying some stuff on amazon which i will pick up at a hotel before i come back. The ebay message regarding Netflix Tax said "This legislative change imposes Goods and Services Tax (GST) on digitally delivered services offered to Australian based consumers by non-resident suppliers."
The problem here is whether or not i will be charged GST on these items that i buy because i wouldn't be importing the items since i am buying and collecting the items in US.
I shouldn't be charged GST for these items but how would they know not to charge the GST. Would Amazon automatically adjust to a price w/o GST if the shipping location was in US?
