Underrated movie. Our very own Eric Bana gave a great performance.
+1 nocure; 20kg will keep the in laws fed for a few weeks if I add a bit of chicken mince through.

    • My in-laws are on a raw food diet.

      • This would be perfect then.

Feed your dog's in-laws inner wolf with some really natural food. K9 Natural Freeze Dried range is appropriate for transitioning onto a more 'species appropriate' natural and raw diet.

        • Wouldn't it be great if you could freeze dry in-laws and people you didn't like?

Dry them out and store them out of the way.

Just wait 5 more years !!!

"Dry them out and store them out of the way."

Been done already sort of. Ever see Wierd Science?

  • good brand with excellent quality, personally i'd avoid the grain/rice cheap filler pack (typically the 20kg bag) - their 15kg high protein bags are the go. also remember cash rewards for that extra back into your account.

    • good brand with excellent quality

      Average brand with average quality.

Much better than supermarket crap but far from excellent quality.

Ivory Coat and Taste of the Wild are much better.

their 15kg high protein bags are the go

If you're talking about their grain-free range, then yes they are better.

Problem is for slightly more you could purchase the brands I mentioned above which have better ingredients and higher protein.

EG: Black Hawk grain-free salmon is 28% protein whereas Ivory Coat Salmon & Ocean Fish is 32% (and they have ones at 36%).

Slightly more expensive than Black Hawk but the more protein the less they eat so the cost per feed is minimal.

      • my comments were for the grain free only - ivory coat is another great brand but blackhawk has higher protein per serve - ivory coat also use blends - salmon and ocean fish, lamb & kangaroo - turkey & duck etc both are good brands, my dogs have just transitioned from ivory coat puppy due to its high protein, sadly blackhawk didnt have a puppy specific offering.

edit: it's equally important to ensure your dog has a balanced diet, we mostly use a raw diet which they love however this is a good for off days we havent prepared their meals - you see a massive, positive difference in their energy, playfulness and general behaviour when they receive quality raw food.

but blackhawk has higher protein per serve

Not sure what you mean by "per serve"?

All their grain-free range is 28% protein, which is great but not as high as other brands.

Having said that, sometimes high protein is not good for dogs with sensitive stomachs as it can give them loose stools and digestive upsets.

I still bought it to snack on while I'm browsing Ozbargain.

  • My neighbour's rottweiler is called "Blackhawk". It is well trained, and when he wants it to drop I often hear him say "BLACKHAWK, DOWN!" Whenever I hear this it always brings a smile to my face :-)
