I have bought glasses through googles4u.com before when there was another special offer and found they were good value. They also have customer service "chat online" feature which I found quite helpful when I got stuck on a technical question. Considering the USD13.99 price includes prescription lens and free shipping as well as the frame, I think it deserves a look.
speaking to an optometrist you get what you pay for with lenses
Fair enough, but are they going to be 10 times better? (min cost elsewhere via optometrist say $150) Previously, g4u glasses were most acceptable to me, but I know others report problems.
for reading glasses they fine, but if your script is slightly different they will unlikely make correct heard countless stories of lenses being needed to be remade. Discount store fronts included. Frames aren't worth much. Not a patch on clearly contacts deal ans they were brand name frames
having said that they couldn't make my lenses so just got the frames for free and will get lenses made in shop
Can someone point me to a set of frames/glasses that will be $13.99(total) as all the ones I have tried are more than that due to the lenses costing $25+frames price and coupon only giving $16off. Am I doing something wrong?

A complete pair including a frame of $9.99 and the 1.56 Standard (CR-39 Single vision) lenses usually costs $29.99. After applying the discount code, it will be only $13.99
If you select any other product which is of higher price, you will be responsible for the difference in cost.

Thanks Damien, It ended up being because i get charged extra because my prescription is stronger, lol. (I didn't think it was THAT bad).
