i changed syd to adl and it worked

and per and mel did not.

  • Can the code UBERCALTEX2017BRIS work in Sydney as well?

    • +2

Yep, doesn't matter on location. Get in quick!

  • Thanks!!

    SYD one has expired.

  • yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeah baby

  • Thanks!

Basically means that if you're using the Amex 3 rides/$20 credit promo, you could end up getting 3 rides for a tenner.

    • +1

Make sure you spend at least 12 dollars on a trip then

  • Said "I can't apply two of the same promotion", only used the one code though (PERTH) =/

    • That just means you got the promo, and can't use it twice. i.e. success.

      • Yeah sorry - You're right. I was just editing my comment, the code now appears in the section

  • Syd expired but Bris worked ok

  • +1

    CBR worked for Canberra

  • +1

BRIS and MELB have exceeded the limit.

  • ADL worked

  • +1

Be careful with these uber codes. They can revoke the promo code and charge your credit card anyway without your permission if they wish.

  • BRIS and MEL also expired

    Stay Safe and be careful.

UBERCALTEX2017HOB worked for me in Hobart.

  • perth for me worked.

  • Thanks

  • This is also Uber Eats credit so if you don't want it for the rides you can use it for that instead I believe.

    • You see it works for Uber eats too?? So $10 off my next two orders?

      • I added two separate codes and they both worked!
        Wooo
        15$ family dinner boxes!

      • Yep I'm fairly sure, it comes up in my Eats app as well.

        • Nope I dont think this works anymore?

It was working last year where $20 off ride for new user, but I just tried to use it for ubereats and there is no discount shown on the checkout page

  • Thanks! Glad I checked oz bargain when I did :)

  • ADL is gone, but Perth worked.

    • Damn, 5 minutes late to the game. Says Perth redemption limit exceeded for me.

  • Only used one code, to be sure others get codes too

  • +1

Where did the code originate from OP?

  • Thanks op!

  • Canberra's code is still working

  • Perth gone. Damn.

  • ADL & PERTH codes are done

  • +1

Used many codes but they all end up charging me around $6 even when my ride is under $10. Does uber have like a $5 minimum fee?

    • Yeah they were bringing in a $5 minimum so might be in place already

  • Thanks OP!!!

  • HOB still works and I'm in Melbourne, woo!

  • Didn't work for me :(.

  • Hobart works like a charm! Cheers to OP

  • thanks OP

He's referring to the uber drivers…

        • If anyone's not working for their pay it's Kalanick, not the drivers.

          @bohdud:

          Hasn't stopped him spending though…

  • Ah crap just missed out but thanks OP

  • None working for me :( HOB not working last on list.. 50minutes to take them all down, damnit.

..Hell my app won't respond to any promo code now

  • None of them work for me

  • All gone

  • all dead

  • Pretty sure this was only internal use only. Guess Uber detected funky behaviour and ended the code.

      welcome to ozbargain, uber.

Sit down and open your pockets while we do our thing, uber.

    • At least they didn't just charge the full amount to the credit card, and then refuse to refund it without 3 days of calls, emails and threats to go to different authorities like Uber Eats did:
      https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/300558?page=2#comment

  • These are promo codes they give to their clients or employees when they have special events or meetings by the way.

    • If these are indeed not for the public, Uber may charge your card after editing your order to remove the code. So take a screenshot of the promo code applied in your account so you have evidence and be prepared to argue with someone from Uber that can barely speak any english from a call center in the phillipines.

    • Yep, i work at Caltex and can confirm it was for the partnership Caltex just did with Uber (discounts for Uber drivers). From memory it has a condition of "Caltex employees only" so be prepared for Uber to potentially not honour it.

  • I need some codes for August, if anyone can help me out.
It'll be my first uber booking. All the fiert time user codes I've found, expire before August.
On another note, if I get a $25 first time user credit, and my first ride is $18, does the $7 stay in credit to my account, or is it just off the first ride?

    • no, code is for one use only.
Any remaining value will be forfeited.

      • Thanks. Apparently its $18 for my first trip. At least that helps and means it's free. If there's any codes going for August

        • @UberIsCool:
Thanks very much. Does this work alongside the first time use code.?
When is the expiry, I need it for use on 20 Aug. Thanks.

        • @albanyson: That $15 code is the user's own referral code which is only redeemable for first time users.

Use code WESTPAC25 instead to get up to $25 off your first ride. You'd have until the end of the year to use this one.

    • If you can be bothered…

      Try another sim card.
      Different credit card.
      Different email.

One of those free simcard deals. Or… $2 anywhere should do it.

Use the same $25 promo code

  • Used and worked yesterday, thanks!

    • Also worked for me too. Thanks OP
