  • The exclusions of "free shipping" are ugly.

    "Posting to: Australia
Excludes: Northern Territory, NSW Regional, Perth Metro, QLD Far North, QLD Regional, SA Regional, Tasmania, VIC Regional, WA Regional, WA Remote, PO Box"

    • Interesting

Free to Bacchus Marsh so guess that's not considered regional

    • I have no idea if this is true, but those exclusions may only be 5% of the population. It's understandable that they can't negotiate the same logistics for eg, 2 sales a week to a place that is a few hours from the nearest city.

I still don't think it's right to advertise "free shipping" when that only means shipping to some of the capital cities. It's misleading.

It's not misleading and if you had taken thirty seconds to search OzBargain you would have found that this isn't the case.

        • @Maverick-au: Nope, it's misleading. Appliances Online ebay or website excludes free shipping everywhere outside of a couple of capital cities.

Comprehension must be an issue for you as your claim is utter bullshit. Is this Gerry Harvey posting?

Here's where they deliver, click on the states to see more.

On my computer, about 5mm from the "free shipping" it says "See Details". When you click that it tells you straight up what is excluded. That's not misleading, it's you not accepting their reasonable measures to inform you.

Misleading would be that you only find out you're exempt when you reach the checkout to go pay and find out your area is either not serviced or extra.

Really you're being unreasonable to expect a business to offer free shipping to every corner of the country. THat's just ridiculous.

Call them, I'm in Perth, they will ship to capital cities (not sure about other areas), just change your address postcode to 2000, then call them to amend.

The exclusions are not ugly. The problem is eBay's system for delivery is limited in what it can do. Appliances online has confirmed that if they deliver to a location on their website the same will apply on eBay. All you have to do is edit your delivery address to get the order through by changing the postcode and leave a note with the order with the details.

      • Thanks for that, added a note to the post saying to call Appliances online first if your location is not included in the free shipping zone

Or just check the website first.

Thanks, have been looking at washing machines for a few days and looks like this one's a winner!

  • Thanks, just bought one.

  • Bought one as well. As per above instruction, Set to a Sydney address. Ring up appliance online once you received a confirmation email and change it to your home address.

  • Link to the Bosch AU site, has some unbiased reviews too (They will be unbiased, they are on the Bosch site :-) )

Thanks OP, looks like a good catch

  • Totally OT, but am wondering … this is a 7 kg machine. Obvisuoly bigger capacity machines are more expensive but may fit in a doona and other big stuff, that you may need to send out to a commercial cleaner, or wash it the bath like I have done.

So anyone looked at ROI to buy a bigger machine?

Perhaps I should have put this in a forum.

    • I have found a 7kg washing machine can fit sheets, doonas etc… just not many at a time

I've been rocking a 7kg washer/dryer combo in Japan, never seem to have a problem with the wash cycle no matter how big the load, but the dry is only 3.5kgs, so it tells me off all the time

  • Thanks for the heads up, ended up getting the Electrolux 7.5kg(http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/302090094394)

  • FYI - I believe these models are made in India and not Germany.

  • Hi all, does anyone know how much extra energy the speed perfect function adds? I noticed it says it uses more energy (and works faster) but doing a mental cost/benefit analysis of it taking triple the time and want to know how much energy it's saving. Considering getting monitor but thought you might know
