Just bought it for $30 from Bunnings hopper crossing VIC
How big are these compared to like the jumbuck cans?
I'd like to know too, pretty sure the Jumbucks are going for 25 without the beads
No idea about the size but keep in mind this one includes the booster and normally sells for around $90. Makes a big difference in getting coals going quickly.
What's the booster?
Looks like an electric fan in the base to fan up the coals - good price if that's the case. I got the Bunnings el cheapo one for $10-15 and it still works a treat
@WillisAU: how long to fully light with the cheap one? And how many fire lighters would you use?
@Jackson: from my experience with a jumbuck (9.99$ one) can filled to the brim of beads its about an hour to get them glowing.
@parker2004au: it takes me that long stacking them on one side of the BBQ. Sounds like the 10 minutes of the ops one is a real step up
@Jackson:
I use about 3 firelighters and the coals ready to go in 15-20 minutes, but i dont use beads, i use this stuffhttps://www.bunnings.com.au/redheads-4kg-natural-wood-charco…
@WillisAU: I also use 3 firelighters, I wonder if his unit lets you get away with using less?
I got this for 12.50 last sale. although i had to jump through a few hoops for that price. the booster (electric fan blower under the chimney) will allow you to get the coals red hot in less than 10 mins. definitely an awesome quality product. ive been using it for more than a year now.
Couldn't find any at Kingsgrove & Rockdale Bunnings :(
These have been on ozbargain a few times before for cheaper-
