Hi guys, looking for flights on Singapore to UK, early Dec return early Jan.
Currently, plenty of options around $1,585 and $1,665.
should I buy now…or wait for a sale/price drop ?!
what are your thoughts?!
thanks

look at flights to sing or KL and then flights to UK from there. (also look at fying to regional cities such as Manchester as they can be cheaper)
cheers. will do. Have got wife & 2 kids, so I'm not 100% sure about this idea but I'll check it out..
have a stop over for a few days. Clandestino to Mrs Clandestino - "singapore (or KL) for 2 days- nothing but the best for you" .
breaks up the flights nicely.
what's the best way to do that..? e.g. book a return to singapore 6th dec, 6th Jan…. then a separate flight to UK, 9th Dec to 4th Jan ?
Is there a special way to book that 2nd flight from singapore.. or do I just go to their website? lol.
as you can tell.. I'm a bit clueless.
@clandestino: you got it. look at booking 2 seperate fights. either from Bris or GC return to Sing or KL. then book the sing or KL to UK. just as your example says.
it may be cheaper doing it as 2 seperate flights, using 2 different airlines. check it out via skyscanner/kayak/etc.
especially when AirAsia have great deals occassionally to and from Aus.
@clandestino: Even with Scoot to SG and back your looking at 1500+. I'd lock it in.
a deal like this one but this finishes in nov. but you get the idea.
thanks guys.
Yeah thats a good price for peak season, it's usually around $2000 for that time of the year.
Your flights are a great price.

Rough idea is that airlines run on expectation rails till about 3 months out, when they tweak the prices up or down depending on how they have done selling tickets.
So the key is what you think will happen to people wanting to fly.
well I checked the prices and they're up to $1,872 pp. So I'm happy with my $1,585!
I think those are great prices for that period and you should go for it! I do not think you will get lower than $1585, at least not on Singapore Airlines.
My recent experience: flying early September 2016, couldnt find lower than $1400 return flying Thai Airways. Saw prices for December approx $1700-$2000.
