$33.90 All You Can Eat Buffet on Wed Night for Crab Month @ The Star Sydney + Free Parking

220

A bit late because I only found out and went to this last night. Good value if you just eat prawns and crab I suppose?

Spanner crab was the best IMHO, other one tasted like dirt and the chilli crab was over cooked. Plenty of non seafood options also, for example, scotch fillet was very tender and nice.

LUNCH
Monday to Friday 11:30am - 3:30pm
$39.90 per adult, $36 per senior and $22 per child*

DINNER
Monday to Thursday 5pm - 9.30pm
$48.90 per adult, $44 per senior and $22 per child*

Special offer
$15 off adult priced dinner every Wednesday 5:00pm to 8:00pm.

Get there early to avoid big queues… We got there at 6pm and the place was already pretty full and queue got big behind us very quickly.

Free parking also:

Enjoy free parking* from Sunday to Friday (excludes Saturday and Public Holidays) when you spend $25 at the following participating venues.

  • Price in Title please!

    • Hard because depends on lunch or dinner and adult vs child. Updated the post though?

      • Have you tried??

        • Is that okay now?

        • na…what i mean was have you tried the buffet… :D Sorry for misunderstanding… !

        • @CDG: I went last night, yes.

  • How much was it?

    • $48.90

Edit: sorry, $33.90 on Wednesday nights… Although only one Wednesday night left…

  • Are they enforcing a time limit?

    • Nope

      • yes, 2hrs! they write it on your receipt.

        • Wasn't enforced on my table last night… 6 adults and 4 kids between 6:30pm and 9pm

But I guess it's a risk if they are busy or something?

          @John Kimble:
i was there last night, and line was massive and almost to the exit. we went down to go get a pizza instead.
we got there around 7pm ish as we had to be back for 8pm game start.

i went there last week, and they did write it on our receipt.
2 hrs is plenty of time nevertheless, and we didn't stay that long anyways.

        • @John Kimble:

How much they charge for kids?

        • @aiyoyo: see updated post.

  • Where is the free car park entry? On which street?

    • Not sure if there are multiple entries, but it's the main casino car park, we entered on the wharf side?

You have to spend $25 at a restaurant and get your ticket validated.

      • Thanks. How and where did you get your parking ticket validated for free?

        • +2

At the restaurant cashier when we left. They give you your ticket back and a second ticket that acts as payment for the first one. You put them in one after the other at the carpark exit boom gate.

          @John Kimble:
Thanks for your quick reply. We'll give it a try next week.

        • +2

@Joe888: I guess you could get it validated before you eat if you go to buffet as you pay upfront, but we forgot :)

  • The only thing I found eatable in the all you can eat buffet is just prawn

    • +1

      :(

Well, eat over 1kg of just prawns and you're ahead.

      • +1

Except they're imported "Vannamei Prawns" not Australian prawns, so not exactly worth $35 per kilo!

  • Presumably this wasn't your experience, but the website states:

    "Sydney rock oysters*
    Alaskan Snow crab*
    Queensland Spanner crab*

    • Only available on Friday dinner, Saturday dinner and Sunday dinner"
    • +1

Yeah, for Crab Month they have crab on the other nights. No oysters though. Maybe it will be oyster month, next month?

I knew a guy who had an "all you can eat" seafood meal and, when he finished, he went out looking for another all you can eat restaurant. Then, when he couldn't find one, he went fishing. Do these sound like the actions of a man who had all he could eat?

  • Sounds good. Might go.

  • weird, cant make a reservation on their site for wed. Is it just for walk-ins?

    • +1

      Yes, no bookings.
