I be using a circular saw to rip most big sheets down, just need a good table saw for fine tuning and repeated cuts
Triton might work for you.
You can pick those up second hand easily enough - check the extras as people replace the fence - and you can use your current circular saw. You can cut full sheets on those with someone helping so you can leave it set up.
Otherwise that $500 budget puts you in the lower range of the contractor saw, 250mm (10") blade stuff. You might be able to pick up decent model second hand.
I would look on gumtree. But agree with above - circular saw for large sheets.
Karate chop.
How big is the plywood? Full sheet? How thick?
