Warehouse1 - time taken for refund?

Admin, apologies if this in the wrong section. Long time listener, first time caller.

I'd like other opinions on warehouse1 here and any help. I purchased $9000 worth of Apc ups equipment on the 31St of may. This was to be installed on 2 computers at our packing shed before tomorrow night when we start operating.

Now, the items were shown as in stock. But after a lack of updates, when chasing them up was given all sorts of excuses, but was assured we would have them in time.

Come this Monday, after again pushing for an update, was finally told the items were on backorder, and if I'd like a refund. Obviously I do, so I reply as such. And then nothing, Nada, zilch.

I've had to ring around to source this equipment, at a higher price to make sure we have them in time. Found a supplier who had them in stock, and provided a tracking number within the hour and we'll be ok.

So all I need from warehouse1 is a refund, but have had no response. Thus far I'm out of pocket 19 grand for 9 grands worth of equipment.

Would a chargeback be suitable in this case, or am I living in hope that a warehouse1 rep sees this and acts?

They certainly seem deserving of their low rating on product review. Never again.

  • Good luck getting them to refund the money. Last time I got a product from them, the picture and dimensions were completely different to what they sent. Asked for a refund, nope. Ended up doing a Paypal refund. Only way I ended up getting it back.

    • Pretty much what their reviews say. If I don't hear back today I suppose ill start the chargeback process with the bank. Never had to do that before.

  • What was your channel of communication? Emails only?, Phone calls?

    • Most of it has been via email, which I prefer as there is a paper trail. After a poke today I received an automated email stating the refund will take place within 7 days.

      All they have to do is provide updates as to what is happening.

      I would have been much happier had they come back 2 weeks ago and said they couldn't deliver, instead of making promises they couldn't keep.

  • I tried and tried to get a refund of a $1300 monitor that had issues upon receiving it. Weeks went by with nothing. Luckily I paid with PayPal so ended up submitting a claim through them and got my money back that way.

    I also received an email stating 7 days refund and nothing, hence the PayPal claim.
