        @maogua: I quite like the JW DB on the rocks or straight. Monkey Shoulder is fine for that too.

        @maogua: monkey shoulder is nice neat

        if a scotch is worth drinking, then it should never be mixed with anything else (except ice/splash of water if you prefer)

  For a really smooth quality budget whisky, try Chivas Regal 18 Year Old instead. I've often seen it on special for around $80, and its well worth the slightly higher price IMO.
