Victorinox is a good quality brand and make well regarded watches. Although, this watch is quartz (has a battery) which is suitable for most people, it has excellent specs for the price, notably sapphire crystal, GMT function (independent hand for tracking an alternative time zone), Swiss movement and at 40mm it will be suitable for just about any wrist. The finishing looks nice for the price.

The milanese (mesh) bracelet would wear well with a suit or smart casual, but the watch would also look casual and just as at home on Nato strap IMO.

Does not ship to australia apparently

    • Thanks, they just changed it.

  • I think Amazon try to avoid sending cheaper watches to Australia.

It's shipped and sold by Lux Time. The independent stores are worse than Amazon.

Just a heads up; this deal is marked as expired but the link is working, there is stock and it looks like the deal improved as it's now priced at US$106.59.

And I bought two watches already this year so I'm going to have to pass 😥

    • Thanks, but it still says it does not ship to Australia.

Oh, I didn't look at that. I use a freight forwarder who give me US address to get around those restrictions.

And because, usually, the freight charges are much lower.

Anyway, my apologies for not checking.

        • No problem.

        • Which freight forwarder did you use and at what cost?

        • @ilikeit: I didn't buy a watch as I've got 2 recently but I use shipito for getting a US-local address and freight forwarding from the 'States. I've been using them since 2011 or so. I just have the address they gave me in my Amazon account and have stuff they won't ship to AU shipped there instead.

Price on shipping seem about 40% below retail.

There are others who do the same now though, so probably worth checking on alternativeto.net to see what others recommend - even Aus Post offer it now, but I personally would rather stab myself in the eye with a blunt fork than use them voluntarily. YMMV though.

        • @kale chips suck: Thanks for your reply. I recall using them a few years ago for a watch. Will have another look when I get a chance.

        • @ilikeit: No worries :-)
